Why such poor choices in J&J when it comes to health coverage plans?

I always wondered why J&J offers such poor choices for health coverage plans? And now they are taking away AETNA HMO plan. More over, many doctors in my area are now refusing to take AETNA due to their poor compensation. Why not offer IBX plans as well and/or other carriers in the regions of NJ/PA? As if it is not enough that the state of health coverage in the United States is disgustingly outrageous compared to the civilized world, but now the employees are pushed into disastrous HSA/PPO plans that cover 80% of the hospital bills?

All they need to do now it to take away the pension and the retiree insurance to make the company truly competitive.

Seriously? The choices relfect the need to save money/cut costs. This frees up additional funds to cover the already bloated compensation packages for the Executive Committee and satisfy Wall Street.

I always found it humorous that pharma companies stress that their employees use generic drugs while marketing the more expensive branded drugs.
Because no one at JnJ cares about the employees. Or their customers. And especially not the patients! Just shareholders! PERIOD!! Credo my A$$! Anyone who believes it is truly lost…..

You know J&J is self-insured right? That means J&J pays 100% of all employee (and family) healthcare costs that are not covered by their co-pays/deductibles, etc.. They prefer to push everyone into the high deductible plans because they get a tax break for that and it also forces people to pay 100% out-of-pocket until they hit the annual deductible and then out-of-pocket max. Theoretically, that's supposed to make people more discerning in how they spend on healthcare. The HMO/PPO plans are deliberately downgraded so people will be less likely to pick them.

For 2025, why are Aetna plans not offered? How are Delta plans

What’s the point of Credo surveys?
It took me a long time to learn that the Credo survey and any other opinion-seeking tool administered at this company are for the sake of tracking engagement. They don’t want to know our opinions. They do want to know if you are on their page. Tell them what they want to hear, and your life will be much easier here.

I give alternating answers. Every other question I answer the complete opposite of how I feel just to f with them

J&J healthcare choices are the absolute worst in the industry, pretty much paying out of pocket for everything unless it’s a disaster situation like serious surgery. Spending 8k per year so far. I wish th to ask more question, I assumed the healthcare is top notch like most pharmaceutical companies, boy how untrue that is…sad!

If you've been here a while, notice how they starting combining and obscuring the real results. Basically, they now say "once we've combined and massaged the data dishonestly, turns out everything is great!".

I've had those conversations with HR on why DEI is thrown in our faces as part of our credo responsibility - you know, the credo that says everyone should be treated as an individual and according to their merit? I was told very directly to stop asking about that if I wanted to continue working here.

Yes, the credo is dead and is a joke - just a way to manipulate the fools who get all teary-eyed about when it meant something.
