It's not even your fault. The fact of the matter is that the providers experience at this point overrides anything and everything you say, show or present. Unless you are talking to a recent medical school graduate you will not "change prescribing behavior" one bit!!! Trust me. It's best not irritate the prescriber by showing up. Stay in the car or drive for Uber/Lyft instead. The people at the home office milk the cow just like I do, except they are stuck in a cubicle.
YOUR biggest problem as a young rep is the fact that you are simply marking time here. After the first week, you acquire zero marketable skills here, (Picking up Olive Garden and Starbucks does not count).
So keep that in mind if you ever apply for another job! You bring absolutely nothing to the table but stacking the sample closet. Probing, closing? Really? And if you are very honest with yourself, check how many new prescribers you created, which is your job!!! If you can name one or two, you are probably leading the nation.
Pretty pathetic for a "job" and accomplishments, isn't it. But if your expectations of yourself are rather low, (which they probably are, otherwise you would have left already) this is the perfect job for you. But by all means: Start a second income stream!! You have the Ttme!! You can do your weekly route in a day at most by now with so many office permanently closed and providers doing tele-med.
