What the heck is going on????
In regards to what? No prez club?
It's nice to have a trip, but I'm not going to lose sleep over it. I still get paid, and I still get my bonuses. I wish maybe for the prez winners a small financial reward would be nice, but that's not reality.
Let's look at reality:
The company is owned by PE investors, who certainly are in it to sell and make a profit for their shareholders, or go IPO, which will accomplish the same thing. Both means that cost cutting measures are necessary.
The Euro market sucks right now, but we are mostly all in the same boat other than Zimmer, but they too rely on international sales with matured and emerging markets.
Layoffs are happening with other players, just ask around. And it may mean trimming the workforce for us too.
It's an election year, corp heads don't know how Frank/Dodd will affect them, plus Obamacare is another wildcard (which I support).e
Because we are PE owned, yes my friend that means we are either being bought or we are merging with someone who's looking to get in on the dental implant market. That means changes. Ususally (but not always) the salesforce is left unharmed because we are the direct contact to the customers.
