J&J Directors and VPs are up to their old tricks. F-ing over everyone below them on reviews to reduce bonuses so as to increase their own bonuses. The bonus budget totals are fixed, it’s all about how large a slice each person in the organization will receive. Selfish a-holes disregarding the CREDO. So lame. F J&J.

We do it to you every year so get used to it. Not news. Less for you to enable more for us. The bonus and salary budgets are fixed for every department. We need a bigger slice for our bonuses and merit increases since our base is higher. Come on man.
 


The D1 level automatically gets LTIs even if their performance is awful. Then they turn around and hand out minuscule LTIs to the one or two direct report failures who say yes to them the most. These scuzzy D1 and D2 mopes act like they’re doling out porridge to Oliver and the other orphans. It’s gross and sleazy.

You are right, it would be much better to the level 23 and 24 mopes to dole out the LTI.

The sorry story of Global Services. Fat pockets with VP2s, VP1s and a VP3 (?) who sits in Southern Florida while preaching return to work. No idea about the business. Senior Directors also do nothing. Total fat layers. Get rid of them all and zero impact to the org and its products. Open zillions of tickets never get resolved. Takes 3 people to do the work of one. Cash suckers of the organization with no obvious impact to the bottom line. Tyrant leaders who are collecting a paycheck but don’t care about their people because if they do nothing no one will see anyway

All the while giving S/M and M/M to the highest performers at PG31 & below to save $$$. Lame way to save money by taking bonus away from underlings. Jelly of the month club. Their high profile HR & Procurement projects aren’t saving anything so steal from the underlings. Imploding from the inside. Not surprising that in 2023 no less than 6 VPs and Directors willingly left and were not backfilled; obviously dissatisfied but not doing much. True but they all dress and smell nice.

Their high profile projects are years delayed. They launched a new phone system unaware of their market, , totally unaware of how to spend their big budget. Payroll project again years in flight new system not significantly impressive. Don’t get me started with Procurement emarketplace total waste of money. Hundreds of people trying to keep the system working in the background because they have no idea what the business needs and how to create real improvements. HR workday complete waste of time. No one works together just a mix of dysfunctional people and businesses with a leader who doesn’t show up and VPs who play the game but are self serving and uncredo like in many ways all known truths but no one’s looking.

If more people below them rank on the low end of the bell curve these VPs should make little or no bonus. That makes the most sense to me.
