Zoetis - as a workplace

All - I applied to a position 2 weeks ago and would really like to get a sense of stability here. Can someone provide an opinion of why I should or in general should not work here?

Pharma is so volatile that nothing is assured. I would appreciate any/all feedback, Serious answers please. This is an in house position.

I have also considered applying to a position with Zoetis and would like to know the same thing. Do you feel stable working for Zoetis ?Are there certain manufacturers you would recommend or avoid? Where does Zoetis stand in comparison to other companies as an employee? Thanks.

Great place to work. Like anywhere else, we need people who make it happened. Overall we have great products and keep on launching.
This line is straight from HQ. Depends on the area of the business. Overall we have too many people, morale is low and continue cutting employees. That is the truth.

Well we are the leading animal health company. They seem to be hiring people who will change things up for the better over the last 2 years. They want people who will make it happen and manage out the negative nellies. If you don't get shit done, be prepared to get the hell out.

Streamlined since we spun off from PFE (good move) and we are bringing in people that will change things up because of their track record. Getting rid of the garbage and move on with better and stronger. Love Zoetis! It also does not hurt that we have great products for our animals. There are things to fix and create in every company. Come here is you are that person to do it.

the physicals and drug testing here are out of control. no personal privacy at all.

Da fuq?
I didn't even have to take a drug test when I started here (granted I rolled in from Pfizer, but still). A drug test is pretty standard procedure when getting hired for a new job.

With that having been said, if one has any motivation to move up, move around, change roles, get new and more interesting responsibilities, I'd steer clear. The move at Zoetis right now is to get rid of, or allow to leave, senior people and then replace them with a couple of junior people. Senior manager left? Great! Bring in two new graduates and let them do that work. Great for the bottom line. Sucks for people who were hoping to one day get a promotion.

Incorrect. You were probably not promoted for a reason. Did you work? Did you do anything different? Did you make a difference? Grow up! I've been here over 10 years and have moved in various positions. The fact that I see is that they are welcoming people that don't do shit to leave. If you were one, good riddance. We're a great company with great products. BTW - you WORK for a promotion. You need to show value for a promotion. I don't see college grads here doing senior level work.

Good place to work! They are hiring change agents and I can tell you they will shake things up. I've been here many years and have seen the good, bad and ugly. I like the new people coming in and they have good ideas. God bless Zoetis!
