Will the Deerfield HQ be shut down? If yes, will Amgen offer relocation packages (including cost of living wage increases) for HQ staff to go to Thousand Oaks, California? If we don't want to go to California, can we work remotely?

This is almost correct. Amgen can charge your CC up to $150 a month based on a usage equation. If the taxable benefit is greater than $450 a quarter, Amgen will put it on your w2 and offset the cost with added pay.

No one will know the answer to this, but I’d think home office is lowest need and would be phased out and sold.

You’re the know it all. Some Tepezza territories are already huge

how are they going to charge you for personal use if you never use the car for personal things bc you have another car?

You can record 0 personal miles and attest to having a second car. You are only charged on personal use % vs company % equations.

This makes sense and I believe is pretty standard in our industry.

Well, considering that we have only 1 neuro drug, not multiple, and we also have a neph team that sells Krystexxa and an ultra rare team, I’m guessing that what you are hearing is a bunch of BS.

No offense, but you clearly don’t understand our business. PLENTY of our patients get treated outside of the university - at least half, at least in my business unit. Yes, the patient start component of IC which is determined by enrollment forms will go to one rep (if a team has that component), but vials can’t be tracked by doctor, so the location of the infusion site determines credit.

Maybe no one knows the exact answer as to whether or no they will keep ANY of HQ, but they will not keep most. I would think that some higher up marketing folks may be given the chance to move/work remote, but, beyond that, the majority of other jobs are redundant. For the small portion that aren’t, they are not going to pay for relocation…so easy to replace withe someone who doesn’t require it.

I do understand your business. One rep gets credit for the Dr. If the Dr. sees patients at multiple locations, the Dr, is assigned to one rep and any script that comes out of the Dr. goes to ONE rep, Dr. initiates it and whomever owns the Dr. gets credit. It's a FACT. Amgen does not give dual credit or even split the credit. The enrollment form comes from a Dr. who initiated the treatment. It's not the infusion site. It's the DR.

No they don't allow you to get relocation packages anymore. Remote working is over

At Horizon we have a car allowance and gas card. What kind of cars does Amgen provide thru Wheels?

toyota, suburu, Volvo. Small mileage territories have an electrical option with an electricity payout/expense component.

for field colleagues yes, likely no relocation package, but office based at or above Sr Manager are typically eligible for a relocation package, at least at J&J, Lilly, Pfizer, AZ, etc.

I’d be very surprised if Amgen didn’t offer it, as it would put them at a significant disadvantage in the battle for talent.

Does Amgen have a summer shutdown?

15 vacation days. 10 personal days. Same winter shutdown as horizon. Week of the 4th. Personal days are used for Fridays and whatnot.

Most prescriptions don't go through our hub (or any companies hub). 1 rep should get credit for 1 Dr. You shouldn't split credit here or really at any company. Own the company and own the system or offices they work in as a rep. That is the wave of the future.

    Shut up. FACT.

RARE disease or any disease at Amgen ONE rep gets credit for the Dr. FACT. Learn to read...

You can't use personal days for Fridays unless your boss is cool. Our RSD sent something out making sure we were NOT using personal days on Fridays and they were only to be used for multiple dr.'s appts or family emergencies. SOME managers are cool and don't care, but there are plenty who do care and micromanage those personal days. You also can't take them off the day before holidays, that's a huge red flag.
there was a female manager who tracked the personal days of reps as they get a printout and spreadsheet of which reps are taking personal days and how many before vacation days. She micromanaged. I know this for a fact as she singled out a rep who always took her personal days before vacation days. They do get a report.

Amgen is BIG Pharma. Horizon is not. Amgen will track your whereabouts. The 401 k is good, but other companies now giving 10% match too.
You get so little stock that it's a joke. The days of a good out of RSU's are OVER when you come to Amgen.

You must drive the Company car and be tracked. The cars are nice here IF they could get them.

People driving around with 100K as fleet can't get cars due to the plannedmic.

Lots of conference calls and validation that is a total JOKE.

Amgen doesn't care about being put in a disadvantage as they are the most arrogant "biotech...laughable joke" around. They are narcissistic and think they are the company there were in 1988. They aren't.

They do not care. You will keep your salary but Amgen does NOT Pay well. They can't get people to come here as the starting salaries are far lower than other companies, and they say "good" "don't come here". Managers don't have a lot of leeway. They have a little but not much. I know reps in the INBU here for 17 years who are making less than $150. FACT
