How do managers track you on the iPad? Gps or do you have to be logged in? Honestly what is an average bonus? Is it quarterly? Thanks for honest answers.

All iPads have GPS trackers. Don't know if you can turn it off or not, haven't tried on mine.

Bonuses might be good if they quit having outages all the time. There are only so many times you can tell a doctor it's a one-time thing before you lose all cred with them. The last team varied from $200-$1400 per quarter for bonuses.

Oh my goodness! Are you being serious about the commission? $200-$1400 per quarter(3 months of work)??? After taxes you basically just worked for free if the previous message about all the expenses, car, health ins is accurate! And to top it off - the managers really track you on gps? Are the managers micro? What?

Hmmm is this all from disgruntled reps who don't like to work or is this for real? The rep I spoke with has been there for 5 years and the mgr even longer I believe! I can't imagine anyone staying 5 years if all of what has been said here is true.

Is the $140 taken out for unlimited personal use of the car? If so that's pretty commonplace. My last company took $120. $140 is not bad when you figure the cost of insuring your own car, gas, repairs etc. I don't consider $140 a month to have unlimited use of a car me paying them for the car. For crying out loud some of you seem to think you are entitled to be given everything. Any benefits are very welcome although the phone allowance and lack of any internet reimbursement does seem pretty out of the ordinary for the industry. That is disappointing. How is the coverage for $120 for health care? I hope the co-pays are not real high because that seems a little high also.

What concerns me it the bonus - or lack there of. You cant even say its because reps don't work if $1400 was the highest paid out. After taxes - that's $800 for a 3 months of work!! That is not worth it!!!

I wonder which sales force that is for. I was shown that at plan. for the year the bonus potential was $20,000.00 and then there were spiffs associated with rebate cards as well. It looked pretty lucrative. Now I know most don't make the top bonus but even if you make
$3-4k a qtr that's $12-16k a year on top of salary. I can live with that.

The thing that keeps reps around is fear of not being able to get another job, especially in dermatology. Also, big pharma has a stigma against contract sales reps, as in "Why would a rep stick around crappy contract sales unless they couldn't get hired elsewhere?"

The bonuses are exactly like that. They promise very big but it's almost impossible to get. They made similar promises to the old team.

Ii will be starting soon with Ranbaxy. Is it really that bad? I can't believe there are that many ordering and back order problems. The people in my district have all been with the company 5+ years. Why would they stay if it were that bad, and why wouldn't they have been fired if everyone gets fired for poor performance?

Yes, it is that bad. The people that have been around a long time are used to it, so it doesn't faze them. Many have other plans.

The ones that get fired are the ones that get noticed.
