Possibility
By Orli Elkon
I walk in my reverie—
In silence and in song—
Open to all possibility,
No hiding space for the wrong
Doubts will undoubtedly enter
The living quarters of my mind,
Crowding my thoughts into surrender,
Leaving no place for the sublime
Cornered into submission,
So I will desperately feel at the time,
No alternate direction but concession,
Lured to abandon all possibility to shine
Such is a place of quiet loneliness,
Though humming with debris inside,
Cacophony intermingling with hopelessness,
A soul caught within a swirling tide
But traces of wisdom glimmer amidst the din,
Patiently simmering under an icy reality,
Waiting for eyes to open and peer within
As shadows transform into luminous possibility
