So our competitors are coming after our MS Reps, and a lot of them are jumping ship for a lot more money than they are paid at Genentech. Interesting that no one is trying to stop the exodus. Also concerning to those staying.

My thoughts: Most successful launch in company history primarily due to the CS’s hired from other MS Companies. Sales continue to explode in a market with around 15 competitors. After the most successful launch in history, many for some odd reason were displaced. Trust in Management was immediately gone. Most of us still feel betrayed. Now most recently, goals are being retroactively increased causing many to miss goal. Again, I’m confused and concerned. Trust has not been restored. I have also come to the realization that many within our franchise simply want to be seen and heard at the expense of those around them. The atmosphere is trending toward Big Pharma and that is why I left my last company. Lastly I want to believe in this company, and really don’t want to leave because initially the culture seemed unique. Now it seems the culture is simply talk and not based in reality. I sincerely hope that Management will begin valuing those that actually generate the majority of revenue for the company. Please restore our trust. Money and culture is how you do that, in case you are wondering.

Yes, our culture is unique. No, we don’t value you, in case you were wondering. Ocrevus will sell without you. We don’t need to give you any more money. You are already overpaided. Thanks.

Ocrevus will sell much easier now that the talented group that launched it set it up for success. And I am wondering...what is “overpaided”? 8th Grade Educumation?

You mean the mercenaries that came over and were more protective of their relationship with the doc, that they tossed their partners and company under the bus. Good effin riddance. Take Jones and the Biogen boys with you. Fantastic drug. Wonder how well it could of done with more selling and less bitching.

You mean how much better than the most successful launch in Genentech History? Or perhaps the second most successful launch in Industry History? Yeah those folks that came to us from the other MS Companies didn’t know what they were doing. Now back to your cubicle..

In spite of the toxic culture, and internal strife. Humanized Rituxan overcame. More of a testament to the great molecule than the dog and pony show running it.

Genentech is a joke and the MS division is laughable. Mostly made up of gene-legacy folks that can't figure their way out of a bag. All the good people have left. The lazy slackers have stayed. Such a joke of a company and division.

This division has some of the most average reps that are constantly crying about everything. Please leave....easily replaced.

OMG so well said and I work here. If you cant sell Ocrevus you're a moron. Just that simple. The people that I work with that complain the most work 2-3 days per week max. Some territories just dont have enough access or work so they get bored and complain. Go sell Xolair or something if you don't want to be here.

Funny how the legacy reps come to this thread to insult the newbies that have done something truly amazing in a marketplace of 14 plus competitors. I just laugh at these bafoons that have no idea how the MS market works. Many are used to having no competitors and 6 other Gen reps callingbon the same doctor. Talk about lazy! Everyone should thank the MS franchise for saving the company rather than hurling insults.

THE DRUG.......Not you. You are confusing your participation in "The Lucky Launch Club" with skill. The lack of breadth in the prescriber base, is what exposes you. Big institutions/centers, but where is the medium to small docs? That's why you are here.

as a former “Gene wearer “, I throughly enjoy reading the threads about the bad boood within. You are on a ship lost at sea and no one is at the helm with a clue as how to steer it. When MS started, many inside thought it was the place to be and those hired from outside were hoping for a fresh start. When you commingle leadership from within and outside, who knows what you end up getting.
Get over yourselves and be glad you have a job in an industry where we’re becoming a dying breed.

The end of the day this is phama sales...

You are not sweating to make quarterly numbers or revenue targets while you are paid a significantly higher base then real medical sales people...

Maybe there is a difference between you and the primary care sales forces but not much. Enjoy the Starbucks run today.

MS Clinical Specialists in the field are some of the most talented people I have ever been around. Seems like it is legacy Genentech that stepped into a very competitive market not understanding it. You have to sell in the MS Market unlike Onc and other franchises where there is no competition. If you think the Ocrevus Launch and the tremendous sales are the result of the drug and marketing, your ignorance is exposed. It is a result of the talent at the CS level nothing more.

What the f*&# are you smoking? No competition on Onc or other franchises? Every franchise other thank lytics deals with competition. Most legacy reps came from such markets, maybe just not as many competitors.
When you agree to join a new company, you agree to join a new culture which many from outs

Well it is NOT based on the legacy DMs...biggest joke in the company being the S Florida DM. That guy is the most arrogant, biggest fool I have ever met.

I agree! What an overinflated, talentless blowhard. Stuck sitting next to him in Vegas and couldn't get away from him fast enough.
