We are just trying to get ahead of the game instead of a big surprise similar to what our pharma counterparts do. Maybe we should rethink strategy on how we should present this if reactions become slightly different. This is beyond our control so we must budget accordingly. Management is tirelessly working on this issue and be assured we will do what is best for all. Please go about your business as usual. Thank you.

You sound like you are in management or from HR.

If you adjust your message to say that ALL employees (not just sales), has to take a bit of a cut to recognize decreases in revenues and Operating Margins because of PAMA cuts, Health Plan rate decreases, consumer price shopping, then that messaging works better for me.

But telling me to take an income cut just to be a team player.(and the cut only applies only to sales reps) is unfair (and a bit socialistic. Bernie would be so happy with that position).

Salaries and variable compensation is market driven, If all labs reduce their salary/variable compensation, then so be it. But don't be the only one out there with a cut in income..

We can’t speak on how other labs are working thru these issues (not just a single problem but several scenarios). Each department has their own particular method to offer to trim expenses. Sales is just a part of the big picture. Basically, everyone within the organization will have to do their part and obviously salaries and commissions are the primary factors.

Why not? That is how everyone else works. What makes you so special? Oh,that’s right... a 1099. Good luck with that.

Don’t knock the 1099’s. I left LCA 5 years and I make triple as an independent compared to being a dog with a note on focus products at Labcorp!

And how much money or gifts do you kickback to the doctors to get the business. Your telling me doctors give you work because they like the lab/labs you work with? You are what the EKRA law is all about, lab shopping to get doctor samples at the highest cost to the healthcare system. You are greedy scum!

I left LCA 4 years ago and make over 2x what I made there. I get paid commissions based on sales vs territory. I do nothing illegal and wish I had never wasted a day at LCA. EKRA pulling all Commission will not happen anytime soon. LCA will continue getting everything they can from reps that have no balls. LCA upper management are the true scum. It was cold in the Northeast today.....gee there go January Commissions. Wake up! Get out of that hell hole.

Why are we even telling these brain-dead people that life IS greener on the other side. Let them stay with their focus products and first right of refusal! Your good old friend RMBD would sell you out in a heartbeat to save their butts but you continue to walk in single file off the cliff just because they don’t have a clue on how to increase sales. But guess what? That is your your job, not theirs!

its a joke! Tox labs are still out there paying reps huge money while paying offices for every request they send. Meanwhile our compliance department does nothing. About ready to blow a few whistles.

Sure you are, junior. If you were capable of understanding and then acting on anything at all, you would be focusing on it, rather than grasping for excuses to justify your own failure. Your contribution here was a meaningless waste of time. The next time you feel compelled to post, do us all a favor and don’t. No one cares about your stupid opinions. Hope this helps.

“Meaningless waste of time”. Labcorp reps should have that printed on their shirts as their new motto! Outdated tests from untrained reps lead by unimaginative management! Sounds like a stellar outfit. The dinosaur is on its last leg!
