Been hearing that we will will restructure districts to have CV 1 under same ABL as CV 2 and PDI. You think they would of fiqured that out a long time ago.
    Anyone else know any updates?

That would be the smart, true and tried way to manage a district. This company is distinguishing itself for not doing things in a smart way. So, there is your answer.
Last week that question was posed to Exton; he said it was looked into ; but it would cause too much disruption. Apparently, he can’t see past his spectacles to notice the disruption won’t be that big; and the mid and long term benefits WILL outweigh the initial adjustment.

I guess you are not from the northeast. This has already happened in NY & NJ. When they roll out the CVA model in your area and then this will all happen. Not sure of timing yet but I also believe that they will get rid of the HAS team

What's your opinion about how this model is Working? Have #'s increased? Are teams more cohesive?

Not a chance they will get rid of the HAS team. Too much emphasis on DDD growth and nearly not enough of a skill set on the CV teams to effectively work the accounts. Also, the model you are referring to being implememted in NY, NJ, and Philly doesn't apply to many of the other areas across the country.

True, however he never definitely said "no, we won't do that"... Watch for it

During the expansion, there was a significant number of people that were hired with "hospital experience" at a very high salary. Since then, without the launch of serelaxin, many hospital reps and ABLs have left the company, without Novartis needing to replace them. They absorb the position to have other HAS reps assume calling on key accounts.

An RD with significant hospital experience, hired for that purpose has recently put in his resignation. The writing is on the wall... lets see how many of the previously vacant HAS positions get filled

It won’t be any time soon. It will be after the failure to get PCPs writing in the level they want; when they decide they have to lay people off.

Guess you’re not from there either. Even under the CVA model, there are still CV1 managers. Only difference is, some CV1’s who did not land account management positions, were put under a CV2/PDI manager.

All of the HAS positions have been or are currently being filled. You are seeing experienced hospital reps leave because of excessive incompetence exhibited by leadership. There is a considerable amount of frustration. If the RD you are referring to is JL, he shouldn't remotely be used as the benchmark to determine any level of concern. No need to expound on that any further. This is a growing brand, and leadership recognizes the value of the hospital space in relation to retail growth. They go hand in hand

Oh ok but nobody said that there was no more CV1 ABLs or sales force. I was talking about how our restructure will look like and it will be in the form of the CVA model. In this model, HAS is not important because the CVA reps are already working the system from within.

Long Island is doing very well and Philly/NJ are doing ok (above average)

We still need the HAS to ensure patients come out of the hospital on it.

I stand corrected. There will still be a HAS team.

The company is rolling out that CVA model to 5 new areas. Each one of those areas will have a realignment. New territory and direct mirror partners all working under one ABL.

Do you know which five areas are these?
