Arrogance is all they have left. They have no IT skills (as evidenced recently), no people skills and strategically speaking you're better off asking the magic eight ball what to do next.

At least the Credit union is accepting SS Checks & paying EFT's , Branches are still down , no end in sight to get up & running , Been told some locations are telling people they must show up for one hour each day in order to get paid , all production is still stopped all in process products will need to be scrapped......saved real money outsourcing .....LOL

You didn't hear about the unique set of characteristics that allowed the virus in and crippled the network? Nobody could have predicted it.. It was a combination of outsourced IT (nobody left to GAF), unpatched computers (patch issued 3 months ago), no computer backup strategy (100mb on home drive to backup resume, recruiter contact info, and short term disability guidelines... employee have to invent own way to backup files.. expose network to viruses), and no IT business strategy

Yup, which is EXACTLY what Merck wants. They chopped IT to the bone, now they have to be OK with what's happening. Kenny and the ol' boys got EXACTLY what they wanted, cheap IT.

Just as long as employment, salaries, pensions, 401K, etc. is not lost. That is the important stuff.

With production down how long will those things last? Merck hasn't prioritized employees since 95'
