Last week a number of UKI clinical staff were 'underpayed' due to a comp plan adjustment which has yet to be conveyed by senior management. This contemptuous act is now symbolic of the malalignment between senior management and their employees.
UKI employee numbers continue to swell with no demonstrable benefit to the core sales team.
Quotas are unachieveable despite growth inline with company expectations. Compensation effected presumably to fund the extra head count. There is no realistic chance to develop and the capital role to which employees had aspired is now considered a poisoned chalice given severe changes to the comp plan and payments being discretionary.
Collaboration is at an all time low and clinical capital partnership is non existent.
Senior management are not held accountable or any in way lead by example. Some act with impunity and choose to ignore reasonable requests for explanation.
Only hours after a communication on the comp plan and low payouts was received a promise of the new comp plan was sent out. This shows it was there but was not prioritised. In any case to send it out after payday was simple cowardice.
It would be interesting to learn if the current contempt for staff is confined to the UKI team or if it is common in Europe and the USA too.
