I like panty hose, but NOT the waist band and the up & down hassle everytime you use the toilet. This is why I have switched to garter belts and thigh highs. The results have been incredibly positive with my male clients and colleagues. I did not think they would notice, but THEY DID. Try it, you'll like it!
 


This is probably the most ridiculous topic imaginable. Chomping gum while sitting in a waiting room playing Angry Birds? Yes, let's talk about how unprofessional that is. Using "like" as every other word? You make my skin crawl. But pantyhose? Ten years ago, I was required to wear them as a rep. I didn't love them, but I didn't mind. Now, I wear professional, length-appropriate attire with impeccable hair and make-up and fashionable yet business-savy shoes. Who cares what's on my legs? I have a feeling that an overweight, vericose-veined female may cheer for this "revolution" but I think it's ridiculous...

Ok, god knows how I ended up here, but after reading this I need to comment. Here is reality:

I think the reason pantyhose get a bad rap is becuase of that word: "pantyhose". Most of the world calls them "sheer tights." What's in a name? Indeed.

Ladies, many men are leg men. And most of us like (more like LOVE) nice legs in nylons. The sheer volume of pornography out there based on women and their pantyhose is WAY WAY too much to be a flash in the pan fetish (google it, I dare you!). Older men tend to like garter belts and hose, younger men tend to like women in tights and pantyhose. I'm 40 and right on the line, I like ladies in pantyhose, but stockings have their place in my heart also. It's got a lot to do with being fascinated with something that's off-limits. It makes you sexier. It just does, who cares why?

I'm a 6'2" fairly attractive guy (I think?). I've never had any problems finding a girlfriend when I wanted one. Every woman I've ever been in a relationship with hopped right on board when I told them what I like (and I'm not unusual), the key is to make sure it's still about your woman and not some weird obsession. I'm married now; I buy my wife hose all of the time that I think are sexy, and she often wears them to work,or wears them for me...it's fun.

I guess what I'm getting at is this: a rare chance to know WTF is going through the mind of men. IF you are wearing skirts and nude hose to work, and IF you have a semi-nice pair of legs or better, you are absolutely KILLING at least half of the men you see every single day. I simply cannot overstate this. Watch their eyes. You're making their day because, well, it's nice to see something beautiful I guess. I don't mean any woman any disrespect, and I would NEVER do or say anything not appropriate (because that's not how I was raised), but I'm more than capable of taking you seriously at work, appreciating your contributions, even working FOR you... AND drooling inside over your sexy legs. Sorry if it seems insulting, it's a compliment, believe me.

So if your girlfriends are telling you to bag the nude tights, I suggest you send them this link.

Pantyhose are professional. I wear them when I'm at work or for speaking presentations. I'm a young late 30 yo female with a great (sometimes pain in the arse) career. Have a great pair of legs from years of running, pilates, and yoga. I love hot yoga in particular.

Now - that is interesting. Women are "mesed up" - LOL! I think the men on this thread had more sharing about their love of pantyhose than any women did. Oh, just so you are aware I'm not a pharma rep. but work in the medical profession. You figure it out from there.
 




Totally agree regarding women looking beautiful in pantyhose. Princess Kate...the essence of "class" agrees.....

It simply makes women look more refined and professional. If you don't believe it.... Take the pantyhose challenge and see if you are treated differently by customers and male reps. I guarantee you will see a difference! Wear them to work or a week and prove me wrong!

In honor of princess Kate and her great sense of style (kind of like Di) - I will agree to the "pantyhose challenge". In the South we don't typically wear pantyhose b/c its damn hot here. However, I have nice legs and will wear them this week to work. Do I get a prize? How 'bout that 6 foot tall (something like that) good looking dude. Too funny!!
 




NOOOOOO! Pantyhose are not sexy or back in style. Think about what pantyhose look like towards the top. Control top, gross! Cotton vented "liner"? Yuck! A rolled over thick nylon waistband that makes crooked line marks in the skin? Ew! Additional sweat "down there"? Gag me.
There are exceptions....
-perfectly fitting thigh high hose
-expensive ($25+per pair) panty top or low rise hose.
-black tights with short skirts or boots.

If they don't look good before you get dressed they're gross. Same thing with spanx etc.

Question for the guys...is deceiving shape wear sexy?

Go get some self tanner, keep your legs toned, or wear pants.

No, decieving shapewear isn't sexy, not to me at least (but there is a fetish community). BUT - shapewear on a woman that's sexy to me anyway certainly can be...

As far as the sweaty thing, I know a dozen women that drool over men in football uniforms... now THAT'S nasty, but still understandable. LOL I don't think most people choose to engage in sex when they're nasty "down there", regardless of what they're wearing.

Sometimes I think that women tend to think of these genericised women from Victoria's Secret catalogs's (*yawn*) when they consider what men think is sexy. Those guys are out there for sure, but not in the numbers you think.

It's simple really (and remember, I'm talking about me here, although I think a lot of this translates to most men)- the thing people want the most is the thing they can't have. Period. When you as a women get dressed, there are things that are for "public consumption," and things that are not.

Tell me... would you feel weird walking on a beach in a pair of pantyhose, over your bikini? Why? Because that's not for people to see. It's for you. You would probably be beet red, and not just because it looks weird. I think you would intuitively know there was something sexually vulnerable about it. And honestly if every woman suddenly did that, I would find them much less appealing. Because what turns me on is getting something I can't have.

I live in the South so I'm just not a big fan of pantyhose because they are just a nuisance.

Look great in a bikini but don't tan because it prematurely wrinkles both women and men. Facial aging is a mix of sunlight exposure, genetics and smoking (cigarettes or cigars/perhaps the other stuff too) LOL!

My legs look great in a skirt or dress - I hear no complaints. I run quite a bit and I guess just lucked out that I have strong legs.

I can't even go to a bar or the grocery store w/o having them ask for my ID. I always get a puzzled look - sometimes I think they believe it is a fake ID. I LOVE it.

People always want what they can't have but the can cause a lot of misery. I'm not saying to lower standards but just be realistic as we are all "flawed." Excluding me since I'm perfect!

You know, I stumbled on this page, saw the dialog and just posted. Believe it or not this isn't really something I spend a lot of time thinking about. I saw the thread and was like "hell yeah, I like nylons!"

I think the reason I've posted is because when I see stuff like this it really trips me out how different men and women can be, and how clueless both tend to be about the other. I mentioned Victoria's Secret before, great example... there was a point (maybe a decade ago or more?) when a lot of the stuff they sold was sexy to men (albeit a bit trashy). But then it suddenly changed to what was sexy to women, which was when they really blew up. The reason I noticed this was because all of a sudden their catalog became sort of... lame. I look through their catalog now (my wife gets mailed enough of them), and it's full of these painfully skinny women that are gorgeous to a fault, wearing "lingerie" that just looks tired. I haven't found anything made by them even vaguely interesting in a very long time, but I don't think most men would admit that because that's the sort of stuff that's "supposed" to be sexy.

It's like the difference between Playboy and Hustler, and, like it or not, Hustler is what's going on in most men's heads, no matter how nice they seem.

It's also funny to me because I'm sure that when a women see this, she's mostly like "those things? Are you kidding me?" thinking about every crappy experience she ever had having to deal with wearing them (and maybe looking like their grandmother), while men (who like them that is) are only thinking: Wear the ones I like and let me play with you (ahem!) in them. After that you can do whatever you want, hell burn them, they'll be all ripped up anyway!
