So I have been applying online to several companies and recieved an email for a position at Cook and a phone interview.

Having been burned before I'm doing a bunch of research this time around

    Clinical specialist position

Pay, benefits, do I even want to do the phone interview!

I appreciate some people have had bad experiences but emotion aside I would like a true reflection (as much as can be expected from cafe pharma)

Again I really appreciate the advice. I'm not hurting financially so don't need to jump on a ship sailing to disaster.

    Thanks

The company is like a cult. Pay is horrible. By far worst in the industry.

$85-90k base, $10-30k in annual bonuses depending on how much your territory is being crushed compared to competitors like Gore/MDT. 4% 401k match.

Formal training is 8-16 weeks (shorter for peripheral, longer for vascular) in which you will sell your soul to Cook. You will be on 5-6 days of overnight travel per week during this period (zero exaggeration), most of which you'll spend in Bloomington, Indiana. Post training you will be shipped across the country on a phone calls notice to cover cases. You will have very little control over your life, and will live to work. That being said, maybe that is up your alley.

This means nothing. Stryker pays their clinicals $60k + $5 bonus, Boston Scientific in the $85k range. Cook pays very well for a CS, but they will squeeze the life out of you like a sponge.
