Should I go on an interview?

Just got a call about a home office spot. HR said they were able to open up a new role because of layoffs. I was told company is innovative and only hired the best. based on these posts I think the hr person is desperate to fill the spot. any help.would be appreciated.

You are coming on cafepharma to ask strangers for advice on whether you should interview? An interview being a chance for you to also evaluate whether you would consider and enjoy working for a particular company/role/manager?!

Yes, you should Interview and accept the role which hasn't been offered to you yet. You are exactly the kind of reasonable, nuanced, highly intelligent, multi-track mind that could add value to this company.

Just an FYI, the were no home office layoffs. There is talk about it happening before summer, but that rumour starts often
