Welcome to the JNJ Board

hi, i am a rep who is will be interviewing for an immunology specialist position selling remicade. however, i'm a bit confused on how i would interact with the rheumatology sales reps and dermatology sales rep. i believe i would make my commission on the number of vials sold, but can anybody guide me on how i would be working with the derm reps? the HR told me something about a restructurun of the immunology division selling remicade. something about separating it into rheumatology, GI, and derm? wow, so does anybody know how and where an immuno specialist would fit it selling remicade

Caution: FYI, Centocor and other companies in J&J- Scios have call reporting. Centocor has a more established system as Scios is just starting. Also Embrel has so good data in today's paper that it also has positive result on depression.

Ask them about that and the call reporting.

Why?

Oh, by the way, Concerta is a pharmaceutical product (drug to you!), this is an industry website. Obviously, you aren't in the industry to ask the question you asked. Please go somewhere else!

I heard through the grapevine that there is (yet another) hiring freeze on in the MD&D sector to help make up for the lack of profits in the pharma sector. Anyone know anything about this? I work at an MDD company and had some great interviews at another site last week and was very positive about it, until I heard rumors about the freeze...

I believe that their is a freeze until the 60 day WARN period is up for the displaced employees from Scios and OBI. They are trying to place their own first...

Spoke with a friend at Centocor (manager) and she said they are telling them NOT to interview anyone but those displaced...then after they exhaust that route they can look outside again.

Remember, not only reps were laid off, a lot of internal staff (about 60) went as well at Scios...

Your reply made no sense, jackass. Go back to handling objections from your doctors.

Nice answer! Welcome to the J&J! You'll fit in just fine with that shitty 'tude. And if you're a minority, it won't be long you'll be an RBD or a VP! Right, Drew?

GOOD LUCK!

JNJ is definitely NOT the place to be right now...Ortho-Biotech is the mos unethical company I have ever worked for and I had to get out it was soooo bad! There is a DM over there named Lynn Barry that is a complete psycho and only got the job bc she is friend with a VP- they call her BAD BREATH LYNN BARRY...Watch out for Ortho-Biotech- its a friggin disaster over there...

Fuck you. How dare you denigrate the credo? I will report you to HR!

How do you turn in reps that are not out dong their jobs during the times they are supposed to be out? want to do it without losing my job or having my identity revealed. I would love some of the jobs others are not taking seriously.

Your best bet is to stay out of it - perform really well with your job- the manager will figure out who works and who does not and when he does something about it then you can make your move. Don't be a rat

How can This stock go anywhere when the people in positions are dishonest and handing the money of us shareholders to their friends,,, Case in point,,
At Ortho Mcneil they hired a man named Tim Laura to watch Construction as it progresses.. He was an Employee of a Company called Epic Construction... What does he do? Why of course he hires Epic as a Construction Manager group to monitor the JOBS and the PRICES at Ortho and moves them onto the site.. Epic and Tim laura actually end up with Their own inside people on the Payrole doing the Construction Jobs at rates that are obsene,,, I mean obsene,,, why not its in house ,, the hen house,,Brought to the attention of People like Mike Petro the engineer he looks the other way,,, Now they are sliding into other Plants that JNJ own like the Titusville Plant ,,,This has been going on now for two years and Tim Laura wants to get rid of the two other Construction Managers CYMA and HSC so that there is no Competition.. Bottom line the fox is in the hen house and its called our bank accounts

This is great that messages can be posted so that we can discuss openly the impending job losses at J&J soon to be invoked by Poon. PRD let their pipeline dry up and their patents expire and now are globalizing to suck like a leech from Centocor and other subsidiaries so to keep the boat afloat. If they would cut their fat they could spare jobs while siphoning from the innovative and hard working companies that they acquired. It will begin next week with a global J&J address. No more Centocor! Who is next in line after Poon, Peterson, and Taylor get their packages!

Does anyone have any info on the Lifescan division of J&J?
Approx. what type of earnings do the reps make?
Is the compensation base + commissions or base + bonus?

I am interviewing with a Lifescan mgr. this week

I worked for Lifescan for 12 years. Low wages, meager raises...and yes, that does sound like a sad country western song. Don't even bother, even after leaving I still want to know what upper management is smoking.

Hello, i will be interviewing with J&J, what is there phone screening like? what characteristics do they look for?, how does there cordis division do? any helpful information is much appreciated
