While most corporate America is moving away from mandated DEI hiring to hiring the best most qualified canidate, Gilead has actually increased their already robust over-the-top DEI hiring & promoting. DEI is actually the majority now at Gilead and we LOVE it.

Be specific. Give an example of what you mean by this. WHO exactly are you referring to that is a DEI hire that is not qualified to be in the position? I'm not saying it's not happening but what team, what position? It's anonymous so please share.

95% of all Fortune 500 CEOSs are white. Additionally, white men occupy 72% of Fortune 500 senior manager and executive roles. For all the controversy that DEI and diversity programs stir up, most senior managers are still overwhelmingly white men. These are stats from the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistic. Please STOP with all the white, specifically white men, victimhood. The numbers aren’t lying!

Seriously Gilead is not Fortune 500 by any means not even US Fortune 10,000.
Pull up Gilead Org Chart. Females, Black, Asians, LGBTQ etc dominate the organization .
I am all for a little DEI but need to hire the best and you can look at Sr leadership Joanna & Sandrine and they are even avg.
It doesn't matter, Gilead was founded and BOD are all DEI profiles so let's just be happy to work for a good company that brings value to millions.
The post is 100% Truth, but Reality is it is OK as we all doing good for society.

That’s right what’s your pronoun? LGBTQ is rocking here.

How do you know they aren’t the best? Do you have the results of their interview panel scores? Have intimate knowledge of their professional, education background, IQ scores/aptitude rankings, etc?

Surely you have all that information in order to substantiate your claims. Otherwise, if you don’t like Gilead’s policies regarding HR then you’re free to leave. papa John’s is hiring.

You mindless lil angry piss ant. Go crawl back into your closet. Nobody cares what your pissy personal opinion.

I still wanna know, which BU so I can see the org chart for myself because Gilead’s leadership & especially senior leadership is mostly lily white. Would love to see where you found a bunch of DEI hires in leadership.
How about checking out almost every new PrEP RD just hired on for the PrEP expansion.

You care, clearly, since here you are responding.

And, again, if you take issue with Gilead’s hiring practices: cry about it or LEAVE.

Don’t let the door hit you on your way out, trash bag.

OMG Prep reps & all levels of management is a joke of DEI whom 80% are unqualified across the board.
Prep is the worse over extended quota division. It makes up the entire Gilead organization quota!

This is accurate! I interviewed with 2 DEI hired managers past 2 months. First one came from outside Gilead with all experience in Oncology, at Gilead 1 month...Sales. Next one with Gilead less that 9 months...her experience 6 jobs in 3yrs. Both verbally cynical and combative about my background. That's the facts Jack!

Being a white person in America allows the privilege to be oblivious (ignorant) to history. DEI, just as Affirmative Action initiatives, largely and mainly benefit white women. Look no further than the hires/promotions of Joanna, Sandrine, Bettina, and all the other white female hires.

As of recent reports, white executives make up the vast majority of senior and executive-level leadership in Fortune 500 companies. According to a 2023 analysis by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and other diversity studies:

• Senior and Executive-Level Leadership: Around 85–90% of these positions are held by white individuals.

• CEOs: Over 85% of Fortune 500 CEOs are white.

• Board Members: Approximately 75–80% of board seats in Fortune 500 companies are occupied by white individuals.

Despite efforts to increase diversity, leadership positions remain disproportionately white compared to the overall workforce. However, I’m certain the FACTS from credible sources like government agencies won’t sway your opinion!

Beautiful post. I’m sure the triggered in here will ignore it.

Don't forget Kristie Banks. Funny thing is even though these are women the "Boy's Club" is still alive and well at this company. Just look at Managed Markets. The bar is set low for a reason in MM. That means they can all skate by with little accountability so none of them have to work too hard. You never hear of lay offs in MM even though they're the most bloated team at Gilead. Not to mention their arrogance is laughable. I'd love to know what they do to account for their time and high salaries/RSU's? Anyone willing to explain? Seriously. When will Johanna wake up and take notice?
