Elvis has left the building...

JB is out! Not good news. He will be missed. Be interesting to see who follows him.
Get ready. This is how JnJ does it. They will replace him with a JnJ person—someone who knows nothing about the business. Next thing you know, you will have JnJ running all departments, and then it's a whole new place.

That’s the way all these buyouts go. A year from now, much of our senior leadership will be replaced by J and J people. It’s OK. We will be fine.

A sales VP decides to leave on his own the Friday before the leadership meeting. No formal announcement to the field. You aren't a little concerned? Everything is fine until it isn't. Retention bonuses only payout if they keep us intact for 12 months. If Johnson decides to RIF or reorg before that, we get nothing. Am I wrong on that?

He likely started looking when the acquisition announcement was released. Smart move in his part. Last thing J&J needs is another sales VP. He likely didn’t get a retention bonus so he took his equity (which was likely substantial) and found something better. JB isn’t a dummy.

Wow, did you do that analysis all on your own? Amazing.

"Likely..."

They should have named JB as VP of Sales when George retired. But in ITCI bizzaro world they do the opposite of what makes the most logical sense.

Of course! He cashed out on his RSU now he moved to another smaller company that has stock! He will cash out there as well. Smart move by him! Stay in small pharma and continue to cash out!

Where he went isn't better.

Where he went isn't better.
Thanks for chiming in dummy.

Have you seen the terms of his deal? Crazy money. Do you know anyone at Phathom? Probably not. Which means you aren’t qualified to comment.

JB was the original culture at ITCI. He made everything better including the design of RSU plan we all just go paid on. He will do the same at Phathom. They will be more successful and a much better company because JB is there. Meanwhile, we have a bunch of empty suits fighting to remain relevant. They contributed nothing at ITCI and rode Bentley’s coattails for five years. The gap is becoming more evident every day. JnJ will figure it out and kick them to the curb.

Watch and see how many people follow Jonathan.
