Elvis has left the building...

JB is out! Not good news. He will be missed. Be interesting to see who follows him.
Get ready. This is how JnJ does it. They will replace him with a JnJ person—someone who knows nothing about the business. Next thing you know, you will have JnJ running all departments, and then it's a whole new place.

That’s the way all these buyouts go. A year from now, much of our senior leadership will be replaced by J and J people. It’s OK. We will be fine.

A sales VP decides to leave on his own the Friday before the leadership meeting. No formal announcement to the field. You aren't a little concerned? Everything is fine until it isn't. Retention bonuses only payout if they keep us intact for 12 months. If Johnson decides to RIF or reorg before that, we get nothing. Am I wrong on that?

He likely started looking when the acquisition announcement was released. Smart move in his part. Last thing J&J needs is another sales VP. He likely didn’t get a retention bonus so he took his equity (which was likely substantial) and found something better. JB isn’t a dummy.

Wow, did you do that analysis all on your own? Amazing.

"Likely..."

They should have named JB as VP of Sales when George retired. But in ITCI bizzaro world they do the opposite of what makes the most logical sense.

Of course! He cashed out on his RSU now he moved to another smaller company that has stock! He will cash out there as well. Smart move by him! Stay in small pharma and continue to cash out!
