Interviewing with Esperion with cardiology background

A lot of people think that things will be better fairly soon. The idea of hiring a contract organization to call on lower decile docs, with us keeping the cream of the crop yet still getting shared credit for those doctors that are shifted over to the contract organization is something that has been considered. We will find out more very soon

Coming over from big Pharma has been interesting, certainly there are less resources, but I don’t feel like I’m being strangled every day and held hostage by teammates that don’t do jack shit. Single point of accountability is a very good thing if you actually know how to sell, and for that reason, I see a lot of upside here. There are always trade offs, but if you are a true sales person, I think this is a better place to be. We’re on our way to carving out a nice niche, that will only be expanded with the approval of the triple combo therapy. Stay long and be strong.!

lmao, 5 years to carve out a nice niche… says the newbie who voluntarily came here from big pharma. I bet you were an award winner, weren’t ya. Came here out of the goodness of your heart, did ya. Was it the big pharma salaries and bonuses that brought you here or the $0.70 stock price

Yes, I’m an award winner. And yes, I do see the low stock price as a huge incentive as the upside is tremendous. The difference between me and you is that I was hired and you weren’t, that’s the only explanation for your negative commentary. Losers lose, keep doing what you’re good at.

5 years??? Maybe 3 and 1/2 after the 2020/21 lockdown and pandemic BS, Esperion will thrive and I’m 1000% sure of it

This thread is old, I’m now considering making the move and honest feedback is appreciated. It seems like the company has positioned itself well for growth, with outcomes data and good contracting for formulary access. I’ve heard the culture is good, with single point accountability, eat what you kill ( I like that) mentality, not a lot of fluff bs, just get it done mentality. Is this off base? I’m sure it’s manager specific but looking for overall vibe, insights appreciated

Eat what you kill, umm yeah. Ask during the interview how many bonused 1st quarter. Then ask how many reps and managers have left since the beginning of the year

That’ll give you insight into all the things you asked about

The equity options dangled are interesting, it wouldn’t take much of a move to be really profitable by most standards. I don’t see the downside of a 5-10x potential for the stock to be able to go up even more. I’m in it for the money and also believe that cv risk reduction is still a big upside that warrants hard work to deliver results. A lot of docs say go for it.

Sounds like your keyboard is cashing checks this company hasn’t been able to write. Get back to me when those stock options pay out
