Interviewing with Esperion with cardiology background

Just saw opening for upstate NY territory and thinking of applying. Would really love some honest feedback and if the manager micromanages. Also would be curious on pay. Would hope to get a base of at least 140k and potential 10k/qtr bonus. I hope that is doable. Thank you for any honest feedback.

I have met that manager at POAs and liked him, if it’s who I’m thinking about.

However, you will not get anything close to $140k, even if you’ve been in the industry for 20+ years and have presidents club awards. More likely 90-100k. The higher salaries belong to legacy reps. New guys don’t get that.

Most of the company did not bonus very much last year, if at all (like 60-70% of the reps). So negotiate a salary you can live on and don’t rely on bonus.

I’ve seen a lot of territories showing vacant recently. I think a lot of reps and managers waited on the Q4 bonus and then left. I personally just started putting my resume out there. I’m just not sure how much of this orange is left to squeeze. Surprising because the drug works, but it’s just not growing very well. I have no idea why but I’m personally tired of the grind and getting nowhere.

Agree with most of this. And yes, that manager is pretty good. You could probably get close to 130k base if they really like you.

That’s not gonna happen.

I just looked at the latest data. Only 15 reps are projected to bonus.

Someone really messed up forecasting. Again.

We’ve got a ways to go to catch up with our European counterparts, but there’s no question that our launch is just getting started, with a lot of room to grow in the very near future. There’s never been a better time to be on board given all the positivity around us, and the unmet need that continues to take a toll on people daily.
