Will DCS and OCS stay partnered together?
Yes. OCS title is going away. We will be “Cardiometabolic sales” reps. DCSs will merge w OCS in a pod. Except half the Pod will have a “specialty” salary for doing the same exact job. That will go over well……
And don’t forget E roles are going away so the E reps may be chosen to be absorbed over the DCSs….in that case all reps in pod will have specialty salaries mitigating pissed off reps over salary discrepancies . Both scenarios are very possible.
Either way “winter is coming”…… buckle up and hang on to your balls
 


Well then we will be left with a lot of reps who don't actually work in the field a whole lot but get on lots of teams calls. Offices don't even know my partner's name but I'm sure they will survive. That will end well.
That is the problem in my opinion with the current state we are in. The people who actually work who are going in day and day out to offices, aren’t necessarily the ones being promoted. The people being promoted are people who are playing around on ERG‘s attending meetings, doing projects for managers and just basically networking, my area is full of these people. They’re not actually doing a job. They are masterful at promoting themselves. This self promotion and lack of actually contributing is affecting the bottom line. There are other issues, but this is a big one.

Absolutely. This behavior should be named and patented as "The Novo Way". It's always been that way here. It worked well for those butt-kissing people when we had no real competition. However, as we can plainly see, the company is now suffering, and here's why: we have finally encountered some serious competition, and those in decision-making positions are there solely because of their ability to engage in superficial behavior, rather than their ability to think strategically.

100%. “Based on merit” promotions in my region the south area is a joke. It’s all about who talks about themselves the LOUDEST (which usually any non moron knows those are the true idiots) orrrrr if you’ve been here a while it’s like a line of seniority for who gets promoted.

"no longer?" Uhm...I can think of several well-known senior level managers who were clearly in over their heads. Most have been forced out.
 




Bet on a reorg happening in the fall. It’s been 5yrs since the last one and once everyone is a specialty? Nobody is a specialty. We have EDCS, OCS, CV and now Hep/GI. All selling the same products….. make sense? Sure. And there are DEs doing whatever it is they do. No clue.
 


If you get exclusive coverage on a plan like CVS, how are the reps supposed to help? Tell HCPs they have to use it? Pretty sure they'll Understand that. Prepare for some achievable goals!! LMAO

This group of managers hired last couple of years are the biggest ass kissing, cool aid drinking passive aggressive amateurs I’ve ever seen! Internal hires included! Worked their way through some ERG or were the RBD lacky…. So they got the job! It’s a joke here.
 






So assuming a reorg happens in the fall, is it safe to also assume voluntary buyouts occur same time as well?
There will be NO voluntary buyouts. Not at the field sales level. Period won’t happen. Why because they don’t have to. Usually if they downsize you will receive two weeks pay for every year you’re with the organization.
