Toxic Manager Alert


I know of another manager who has lost a few since the beginning of this year. And LinkedIn says everyone else on their team but 1 is looking. Crazy times we’re in.
Conversely, a lot of people think it’s a great time to come on board. The amount of equity options is a compelling reason to think longer term, easily can foresee a 5-10x over the next several years. It is apparent that many people here can’t sell very well, and that’s a fertile environment to step into as a true professional that can really make hay when much of the competition is weak. It is reassuring that management is apparently done with mediocrity, that bodes well for upgrading the field force.The only real concern with coming on board now is the looming potential for a buyout, but I’ve also been impressed with some of the potential suitors mentioned. I’ve also heard about acquiring a GLP-1 compound, very exciting and additive to the concept of lowering CVD burden. What’s not to like?

One more territory opens up, he/she’s out of here, I bet. Some managers here really have no clue.

We’re getting our arses handed to us in the market. This job doesn’t pay enough to put up with a bad manager.

Yes! Done with mediocrity! I hear the next quiet layoff is happening soon. However, this time they are focusing on managers with too much turnover and those who haven’t had ATH’s recently. It is counterproductive to growing market share when one is constantly training new people and can’t move the needle consistently. They can’t be trusted to hire and inspire people who have the passion and the vision that is required to continue taking us to the top. Time to weed out the rats.

Please weed out the rats. Every manager I’ve met gives me the creeps. Sadly, my hiring manager left.

The bench is pretty weak, we need strong leadership that will support managers. Probably the whole bottom half of the curve should go, good chance to upgrade and reset expectations. This is way to good of a drug to languish.

Correct, many of the managers are very weak. My manager has yet to spend a full 2 days with me. Shows up late, if at all and leaves early. Hangs out for a couple of calls, makes up a bunch of stuff for the field report and then disappears.

If they lie do NOT sign off on it!!! Report it and get them fired!! We do NOT want that here!! Everything in the iPad is discoverable! Your manager should know that.
