Rumors of a class action lawsuit being filed against Ameritox are circulating. Any one heard about it? Apparently it's based on their fraudulous claims of their RxGuardian. It seems patients who have been incorrectly discharged based on RxGuardian and physicians who have made medical decisions based on the RxGuardian snake oil are the groups the lawsuit are seeking.

Couldn't have happened to a more unethical company. Some of the reps are OK. But for the most part the management is woefully a sorry bunch.

Between TH and KN in the Western...or...Texas/Oklahoma region, the management is poor, out of control and unworthy of any title. There are a lot of quality reps working for the company but management (specifically the two noted above) thrive on inner-turmoil and distress between reps.

sounds like someone got fired for being lazy... HA! I find it to be an incredibly ethical and successful bunch, reps and management alike.

OMG this is so true JH is TH puppet his reps are dropping like flies. They have no clue on management. I'm glad the west is no longer associated with TH. They have great reps working for them but they treat them horrible.

You must be kn or th? Successful management? are you smoking meth. I guess a dumn ass twat with a lack of education would say that.

I love the word "twat" You seldom get to use it in a scentence, except when describing Ameritox management. "Snatch" is a good word too. It can also be applied to Ameritox Management, both male or female, or even a she-male!

Drug testing has to be one of the biggest sellers to corporations and State agencies thinking that what was stated to them during the sale of their capability for detection is going to be true results. The screen may be $75.00. The follow up test to confirm may cost any ware from $400.00 to 1500.00 for confirmation. I used a potent narcotic over many years on occasion for pain and the one of the largest Drug testing companies in America could not detect what it was during four separate tests. The last test was $1300.00 and I never paid them. They all worked for free as I told them so, because I will not pay for a Drug test from my own money. These Drug testing companies go after insurance money if they can get it. That is the scam, and only to raise our insurance rates in the end. It was Levorphanol, that could not be detected.

I think that any time their is a positive urine toxicology report for illicit substances that their should be a second test done A.S.A.P. with another lab. If the two are differant do a third, go with two that match. This could put a very negitive report on those that are not gulity. And dam right if I can sue I will!

I feel for the patients that are forced to have the drug test and are on protocol with the doctors orders who get a bill in the mail for over $500 bucks! That is insane and in order to get the true pain relief that they need, they could have taken a basic urine test for around$30 bucks and got the same results. I hope the Attorney Generals office is taking notice of this company.

jeez if you think that a $30 urine test from walgreens is the same as an Immunoassay with cut off levels that labs are doing you really know nothing about what you are talking about and probably should make comments like that, then whatever came up positive goes in for more testing in order to find out the molecular weight which is distinct for all substances. The GC/MS or the LC/MS/MS are going to be able to identify the exact drug. Those are very high quality tests. If you Dr. office uses an instant device without sending it out to a lab, that's when you should be scared. THose instant devices throw false positives and potentially what we call a false negative. Basically the device is not sensitive enough to find the drug in your system because you are falling below the detection level on the cup. If you or anyone you ever know get discharged from an office based on an instant device alone, Sue your Dr. Those things have so many cross reactors as well. If you are on low dose narcs for chronic pain you better hope that they are sending it to a lab, because if you truly have been taking your meds the way the doc has told you to, don't worry. the lab won't miss it. If you would like to know more ask your doctor for their lab reps number and ask them what the difference is, they will explain it to you. There are some major differences between and instant device that they use in an office and the multiple steps that labs use. If you are a true chronic pain patient and you are compliant you want your urine to be tested at a specialty lab. If you are a drug seeker you want to go to the office that is just using the instant cups, those things are a joke.

My husband and I both had tests through Ameritox almost a year after our car accident. My husband has insurance, I do not. My bill was $100 and my husband's was $1000. thinking that my husband had a more extensive test, I requested a detailed bill from both of our accounts. The bills were identical, the units were identical, the CPT codes are identical. How can they do this? I have proof and I am taking it to my attorney to see what he says. If he won't listen I will write my state legislators and the AMA and the governor and any other person that will listen. They commit inurance fraud and prey on the unsuspecting. No wonder insurance is so DAMN HIGH!!!!

I would absolutely report Ameritox to the States Attorney's Office, as well as whomever else you need to share this info with. This company has been "bilking" insurance companies, Doctors, and patients for millions of dollars. If you have absolute evidence of this; definitely run, do not walk, take your documentation and be sure to have the "whistle blowers on to this organization of crooked cowards".

It isn't against the law to bill cash pay patients at a different rate. I would however, call them before you see an attorney. I had a similar situation and as it turns out, they didn't have accurate insurance information for me so I got the bill. I gave them the correct information and I haven't heard anything since. That was months ago. Just a suggestion...

It is the problem of opioid abuse that increases insurance rates, not drug testing

By law any service or company must bill the amount that the insurance mandates. It would be against the law or insurance fraud not to bill what the insurance says. Ameritox also offers assistance if you would just call and ask for it. They are extremely easy to work with. For uninsured patients Ameritox reduces the bill to $100 in order to help a patient and may reduce it to $0 depending on the situation so you should be happy about that. Most other labs do not do this. In the end Ameritox only sends 2 bills and does not work with any collection agencies nor report to credit. They eat the costs of unpaid bills. I think that is a huge bonus.
