DT, routing optimizer...what's the end game?

Would love to see if anyone has insider knowledge here as to where this tech is ultimately taking us. DT has us running all over the place chasing small volume targets. Now routing optimizer is going to improve efficiency of our time in the field and track everything we do in the field. We'll be feeding it all our field knowledge about customers' availability, etc. Good for the company to have a fully ready system to plug-in any new rep and feed them all the info to go "sell" without relationships. But what is this going to mean for the reps? Are they going to start adding more calls per day if the RO thinks we have free time? Anyone in the leadership and DT department considering rep's fatigue from DT administration, all the compliance scrutiny, and field work? It sure is starting to feel like the company is readying itself to burn through reps every couple of years and just plug in new ones with systems ready to go.

we do not trust you, years of fabrication is OVER.
why do you hire people you don't trust in the first place? most of the people who are in this job are not there to fabricate, but are you setting policies and conditions that cause some pepole to fabricate?.. it all starts at the top and trickles down to your management. reps just want to make a difference and see their efforts manifest in results

There is no way to possibly make all of the calls they want from us, hence the fabrication. Everyone is guilty of it…EVERYONE. Some don’t mind lying, most do, and it creates quite the moral dilemma in the job, day after day after day.

Cognitive dissonance induced by absurd DT metrics created using imprecise territory information purchased from a disingenuous data-capturing company.

The endgame is to reduce the size of the field force by at least 50%. Everyone knows sales representatives are not working five full days a week making their calls per day requirements.

Yes so much extra admin and projects to get promoted if you are not trying to get promoted you get fired! It’s exhausting all day, all night!

VAEs, company emails, endless teams calls, champ roles, initiatives, customer troubleshooting- it all is a part of the job that has to be done between 8-5, so yeah, we can't be in the field the entire 8 hrs a day. that's how this job works.

Anything to make our jobs more miserable. You forgot forced programs.

is this clusterF%$#* of routing working well for anyone?? I had to completely redo all of the scheduling. took me longer than it would have to just plug in names into an empty planner. this is such a waste of resources

No. It’s a total disaster. How could they think this would work? Maybe functional for someone initially getting into a new territory but that would be it.

What a nightmare. Days with 20-30 office calls scheduled thru RO. Fridays with 28 calls scheduled what a joke Someone was sold a pile of crap in this process. Having AI do a routing when it doesn't know the geography as bad as doing a DCR multiple times without resolve.! They will get what they get and screw the process.

We will still be held to the same impossible metrics.

AMEN! All BS but occupies more of this job then focusing on customers and for the love of god stop riding with us so much

So demotivating. Why didn’t the crew who piloted this shit respond honestly? This is utter garbage. Only creates more work. Good grief there’s zero trust in our field knowledge.

I bet there will be more metrics in a couple of months, measuring how effective your routing is compared to what AI wants you to do. And they will want us to feed all our customer availability knowledge into it. This system is not for us, it’s for the company. So that they can have a ready to go territory and then burn through reps with all the out of this world expectations
