How are we ever going to get scripts with current selling space

Like any launch its messaging and being in front of docs. Lunches are a must to deliver message and repeatedly deliver a consistent message and answer any concerns over side effects. We don't have that luxury. I'm very concerned on our ability to survive this year. I can't talk to my RD as he thinks the hand of God will reach down from the heavens and open up access to offices anyday now.

I agree. It will be difficult. We won’t even sniff any previous assumptions of sales targets. We’re calling on specialties that won’t open back up this year to reps. These specialties laying off employees and physicians left and right. Same with hospitals. They will open up ( and this an important caveat) if they want to get reinfected and alienate their patients. We will only get back to see CD and hospitals and bringing lunch there if we have an ID certification that we’ve been tested and the administration in office and hospitals verifies this certification with the federal and/or state and local governments. Will the employees be there to support this function of certifying all the reps free and clear to do lunches in the ICUs and CCUs and all the stand ups back in the bowels of physician practices?
Probably but not a sure thing.

Why are the RDs so clueless? Colleges may not even open up in the fall, hospitals and physician offices will restrict access in ways never imagined. COVID has changed everything; those that don't readjust their thinking and expectations will be left behind. My biggest concern is that Esperion is NOT a learning organization; it is not even a people organization--despite what the leader in charge continues to tout. My colleagues and I feel cheated, tricked and sabotaged.
 
Don’t think esperion really cares wether they have sales or not. Alan does but not esperion. esperion just a people-first outfit, sales or not....so we are all very fortunate indeed.
 
Management is clueless. Just listen to your conference calls. Does it sound like reality. Esperion being a startup is learning as they go and quite frankly not doing a good job of that. This industry forever has changed and we don't have any clout. Our Regionals are childern.
 
Just remember all Pharma companies and reps are in the same situation.

So what's your point? Not all pharma companies are like Esperion who's operating on a small budget, a startup, poor stock performance even without virus,and a hired C team. RD's who make it their job description to respond to every post, drop names and makeup lies and are launching in a pandemic. So no . Not all pharma companies are in the same boat.

OP,

The midget doctor just said that they are going to open up the social distancing sometime in May in areas. By June or July, things will open up. By Fall, things will go back to "normal" for the most part.

Just call on the doctors that are helping you, and those you can have a good discussion with. Start to ignore the idiots that don't have an open mind.
