How is it to work here?

You are absolutely correct! This is all rubbish was created by poor performers or disgruntled employees.

My manager is FANTASTIC! I got the stomach flu which caused severe dehydration and I landed in the hospital for a few days. My manager really went the extra mile for me and called the hospital to speak with my nurse on duty about my medical condition.

I had already texted/called my manager regarding my illness and gave my hospital room phone number. Instead of calling or texting me directly, my manager took the extra time and effort by calling the nurse directly. Can you believe that? In this day, what employer would do such a selfless act! The nurse told me that my sibling called and wanted to know detailed information about my condition!! The nurse had never had a family member so inquisitive. My "sibling" even requested to speak to the doctor on call.

Turns out it was my manager (not my sibling) who wanted to make sure that I was given the royal treatment because I was such an asset to the team. My manager earned my trust and respect!!!! You'll love Phadia - always looking out for your best interests!

If true, is this not illegal?

Illegal? My FANTASTIC manager would never do anything illegal! Of course, there are some "Know-it-alls" or "crazy" people that might find this a HIPAA violation. That would fall under civil law and not criminal. Who cares about civil law anyways? That is for "unstable" people who just want financial gain, and don't want to work.

Once I found out it was my manager, it was such a relief to my family. My mother, a doctor, was concerned considering I have only one sibling who had just visited the hospital. Once we knew what transpired (hospital admin. investigated), my mother wanted me to write a letter to HR commending my manager for going the extra mile and really caring.

Phadia has such great managers as does HR!!!

Such a heart-warming story for sure! Did not know that there were any managers like that anymore. In the good old days of pharma and diagnostics managers were people first and managers second. These days managers are basically out for themselves and one either tows-the-line and agrees with them, or one is put on a PIP and canned. It's nice to see that a few companies are still human! Thanks Phadia!

Ouch, yeah. No room for such demeaning methods here. I am sure statistics would reveal that PIPs would NEVER happen here, or would be rare. I am so so sure of that, absolutely postive because leadership is so inspiring and JUST.

That's what my wife said! She basically said . . . . . . "I hate to see bigger things get in my way!" Well my neighbor appreciates it and comes over when wifie is at work!

AMAZING! Your wife is my DM. Your wife speaks so highly of you. She always talks about how she wants to buy the "biggest" present she can for you for the holidays. Knowing how much housework you do really has helped her out. It is refreshing that a man is so secure being a house husband. I know your neighbor helps mow the lawn but your efforts cooking & cleaning are bar none. My DM gets top marks on her leadership survey because she is so positive and has taken Phadia to the next level. The entire team depends on her! Thank you for all your support of her, I'm know she appreciates it!
