If you think Abbvie is going to give a date on today's call, you are mistaken. Keep working on the double down folks. Everyone wants to know a date so bad when really, you don't want that date because by then it's over.
 








Been through this twice. Word. Screw Abbott / Abbvie. Now it is all about you. Nothing else should matter at this point. Nothing. Corporate, boss, co-workers, customers all should be about #100 out of 100. Family, income and career are the focus. Forget medical or pharma. Reps are a dime a dozen and there are no jobs. Zero. Focus outside of the industry and network while you are employed. Getting work while you do not have a job is really, really difficult. You are viewed in completely different light when not working. Plus you are rattled and have no leverage. Keep grinding.

Absolutely the truth here! Well Put! If People were really the concern, they would have laid out a time line...told us what and when to expect things to happen and not force us to role play androgel with our Dms you have got to be shitting me!!!! Also, 99% of Us will not find an abbott or abbvie spot, and to play out this charade that our DM is qualified to counsel Us on our career path???? Totally took the final wind from the sail. If they would have shown some balls and leadership and said hey, June 28th is it youll get your bonus, do what you have to do to find employment while working and We wont bother anyone with anything. How bout that lady talking androgel ...Good Grief....

A day. A week. A month? What difference does it make?? It's been signed off by everyone that needs to do so, and some vendor is busy putting folders together, each with a different name tag on the front. Another person double checks to make sure that the name on the front is the same name that the letter inside is addressed to. The Fed Ex envelopes are already being stuffed. All that happens next is that somebody else dials 1-800-238-5355 and at the prompt says "schedule a pick-up", and no, no package weighs more than 50 pounds....
So do you go out and work on Monday or not? What difference does it make? By the time the credit comes through for the Rx, we are already gone....

No, no NO! "People" really ARE the major concern. It's just that the word "people" refers to not employees, including field sales, but rather the stockholders and upper management.
How on earth could you think any differently?

Remember, JD, MS, and the rest of senior "leadership" gave their superiors product numbers they would meet in 2013. They need to keep Cardio Care reps chasing the carrot so they get THEIR reward when the dust clears at LOE. Do you really think they would provide a date and take away the last bit of motivation from the field? Nope, they praise us to the hilt and put the carrot a little further out of our reach. Once they get what they need, we get kicked to the curb, after we "just miss" the Double Down bonus threshold.

OOps quotas just went up for the second quarter (you wont see the results until May or June) and guess what? About 2% of those eligible in the 1st quarter are going to make shit. We are sooo sorry though. You must trust us, our people are number one. Look how many have already been placed in new jobs (huh, where exactly? have heard of only a handful)
The thing that pisses me off the most is their apparent belief that cardio reps are the stupidest lifeform in the universe and don't see their attempt to drain us to the bitter end.

Our stupid bitch DM in SO.Cal is still trying to drive us and make a name for herself. What a pathetic POS with absolutely no sense of the big picture or reality. She even wants us to keep booking MEI programs. Thats the best way to get fired by OEC with ZERO severence.

My God how are you still in denial?? HCV drugs , there is nothing out there check the boards, believe the truth. Very very few CC reps will find anything within abbvie or abbott. Point is that most of Us just want this to move on and get it done so We can do the same. Abbvie please do the right thing and pay out a severance lump sum, pay continuation? Really? Many of Us stayed here at abbott/abbvie instead of leaving for a possible better position elsewhere and for that We should get something, everyone above Us does....

Don't be so sure nobody is working. While still employed, we are subject to the same expectations (sorry) and OEC rules we were before Cardio Care became expendable. How ironic to end up being canned for defrauding the Company and missing out on bonus or severance. I'm not expecting reps to go all out for a couple of dying products, but as long as we're taking a paycheck, Abbvie can legally hold us accountable. Believe me, I have the same sense of frustration you do, but as long as I'm still employed, I'm making a hell of a lot more money than I will on unemployment. Obviously, Abbvie's decision-makers believe providing a drop-dead date is not in their best interests. Note that on Friday's webinar, JD kept promoting the fairy tale of CC reps moving to other product teams. With a "solid date", that false promise is laid bare.
