Interviews

You called HR? So offers from the Chicago interviews have not been made? None if them?

Talked to HR a minute ago, if we haven't received anything yet we're out. I told them I was under the impression we'd hear either way which is what I was told. HR said that was not the case. OFFERS ARE OUT IF WE HAVEN'T RECEIVED THEM YET WE'RE STILL ON THE UNEMPLOYMENT LINE (or at least I am)

thank you for update. don't understand why there are confilicting reports but I believe the person who just called HR. hang in there, a job will come. this is difficult to get through but door will open soon. stay positive.

my interview was in Boston last week, not Chicago, and there are only some positions that needed to be rescheduled, including the territory i applied for. whether or not it's true, that's just what i was told by the HR group that conducted initial interviews.

Easy for you to say, I've been out of work 6 months. I'm 55 I have a better chance of being struck by lighting than finding another job. Rutgers did a study of people over 50 that lost their job 76% never find another position in their field and if they do they have to take a 50 to 60% pay cut. It's a great country we live in.

In my 'debrief' I was told they were trying to make offers by today but everyone would hear something by tues of next week- he told me this as I was walking down the hall- I'm just going to assume the offers have all been made- seems like enough posts here point to that- it's hell hoping but still not knowing- I've been over the interview 100 times in my head- great cOmpany. Bummer...

I really hate to be blunt BUT ALL OFFERS ARE OUT. Plain and simple.

Who the hell are you? Trying to rub our noses in it. Do you work there or did you just get an offer? We were all trying to hold on to a glimmer of hope, I had all the experience necessary but I'm a 50 year old white male (no shot) they don't want to hire the best candidate, haven't you ever heard of diversity. " Doctor can I ax you a question"? You hear where I'm coming from

from the inside-good luck to all. the company will expand to 90 reps total for the third sales arm in the fall due to the positive bg-12 news released and avonex extensions. if you didnt get an offer, at least stay in contact with the biogenidec managers. we are talking only 6-9 months of waiting time. keep your chin and spirits up.

Maybe someone was just better than you! Get the chip off your shoulder.... I got an offer- even as a 47 yr old white male. Possibly you were just not the right fit ??

BULLSH#T MS experience, buy and bill experience, neurology experience, infusion experience. How about this, the manager was a minority woman and about 30 years old. I knew walking in I had no shot.

I too was told no offers had been made because some of the candidates were unable to make their interviews because of cancelled flights. This was in the Chicago area so offers may have been made elsewhere. I have no reason to think he wasn't telling the truth. While he had me on the phone he could have just as easily said I din't get the job. That way he doesn't have to worry about anymore call backs. He said the candidates would interview at the beginning of next week and offers would be made then. Also, he said this would not impact the May 9th start date.

Like it's been stated 10 times already. 95% of offers are out. And as for the old geezer with tons of experience, your a bitter desperate man and it must of showed on the interview. Calm down and regroup. No one owes you anything. You want to work for the best, act more professional. Keep trying. You'll find something.

I'm in my 50's also, I'm hoping you're right and I still have a shot. I lite a candle yesterday.
