It's the last (probably) week of WC! Nervous


Ummm... As far as I, my manager, my team, oh, and THE REST OF THE FREE WORLD heard on the call today was that we all will be invited to interview for open positions. ALL. Also, that reconstruction and layoffs will be within the next 45- 60 days. How are you saying that assumptions are being made? This was black and white.

"OPEN" is the word......That happens at any company. They'd rather interview current employees rather than invest money on a new hire...If you weren't given a pink slip, you're fine.
 
They will determine what reps overlap, and what territories they have open. Also interviewing outside of the current pool as well. Basically starting from scratch with WC reps which is why you interview AGAIN. Not everyone is getting fired, and not everybody is staying. FACT. WC reps will be interviewing as if it is a new job interview to see if they match what Actavis is looking for. Will keep who they want/need, and the rest will be gone. SOUNDS LIKE EVERY COMPANY I HAVE EVER HEARD OF. Positions based on need and employee competency... why should it be any other way? If it was my company I would do the same thing. I will be one of the reps for WC that will be interviewing in the coming weeks.
 
companies cant cherry pick the best sales person, the liability is to risky as because to many people will run and file a law suite. the ones who are retained will maintain a paycheck, and the rest of us are screwed.

Oh, you must be the one who thinks everyone should get a trophy! LOL! Of course they can ABSOLUTELY interview and "cherry pick" who they feel are the best sales people for the job. It's called SALES with a pay for performance metric. The interviews ensure no lawsuits. Idiot.

Stop acting as though Warner Chilcott still exists. The internal talent pool will be Actavis and legacy WC reps, NOT legacy WC alone. Remember, Actavis will be the ones that make the decisons; WC no longer exists.

Its called a layoff, remember? At least you have the opportunity to interview, most phrama layoffs have not given that option; you get a phone call saying whether you are in or out, thats it. People can sue, that means nothing, anyone can have an attorney write a letter. You are going to a NEW employer, who has no obligation, AT ALL to hire you. In fact, you can be fired for any reason at any time, in most states. Its called employment at will.

You say "the rest of us are screwed". Surely you can't be an employee with the spelling and grammatical errors you have just put on display? *too *suit *as because (?)
 
Do you think WC reps will be offered a higher base due to Activist have a lower bonus opportunity?

In a word, NO! While the few at the top can make a little more, remember that AT LEAST 30% of WC reps make absolutely no bonus, in a given trimester. WC actually paid no more, in bonus overall, than anyone else. I think, the few WC reps that remain should just be happy to have a job, or just go back to selling copiers. What was your base there?
