Layoffs coming Q1 2025

Can confirm layoffs here in Belgium. I was just notified. Fortunately, I am on maternity leave until April 2028, so my termination will not be effective for 3 more years.

Damm it , missed the bus on this one. Male here , I could have gotten maternity leave under the DEI stuff, by drink lots of beer to create a beer belly then wearing a dress to work..

Many functions in the EU part of EMEA are useless. They are not worth what they cost J&J. Many weeks of vacations and holidays.
They can’t be let go. Put one through a long pain stealing PIP and after 5 months was literally told by HR that they could not be fired due to legal requirements . Really ?! So why did my mental health suffer and I had to take their belligerent behavior just to be told that nothing could be done after a PIP? Total failure of their people in so many cases

Should have consulted HR first

Layoffs happening soon? What's the latest
Next month in emea, an April to June in US. Heard Titusville getting hit. Anyone who is mostly remote will be looked out. Better start coming to the office. I also heard they like giving the multiplier to keep morale up because another big year of cuts. Stock responding nicely to the cuts and there will be more. All big pharma basically looking at 7% a year now as a minimum. If you’re not on money making projects, could be in trouble.

What about remote workers?

Are they tracking people going to office in US? I have an office assigned but I work remote in the same state as my team is elsewhere. I’m supporting a critical function. Am I at risk of layoffs due to working remotely?
