Friday night was fun....we should do it again in 2 weeks. When someone else leaves. See ya then
Do what's right for you.. Things have not been the same since Ken left. Not necessarily because Ken left but because that "air head" stepped in.
Sounds like we will be doing it again in two weeks, and this week too.

JW gave her notice and they escorted her out... Anyone left in tox?
sad that JW left she was very sweet...jeez a notice (2weeks?) and escorted out like you're going to grab the drapes or something on your way out if your not escorted.

Did any of you have anything to do with Dr. Bourland? He was in Las Vegas transferring to Atlanta and then he ended up at Ameritox as Lab Director. I bet you threw a party when he left...and are probably still celebrating.
If for some reason you miss Dd Bourland at Quest, I know the Ameritox lab employees that are left would gladly send him back your way!!!
Dr. T. just gave his notice. Time to gather at the Tavern in Central Square again!

I realize this is an old thread, but this is my first time posting here. I just found this site and started reading today. I can't help but wonder if the sentiment has changed over the past 3 years, with the economy and all. I know a whole lot of people who work at Quest (self included) who really love it, some who have been there their whole careers, some over 20 and 30 years. Our joke around the water cooler is that nobody leaves!
Maybe I should have started a new thread (if I can figure out how). I hope things are better at your Quest, 3 years later.

what a coincidence.. this posted on what was MY last day @ quest due to shift layoff.. after I busted my $@& and it's never good enough. while others just throw their work away and myself and a few others were left to pick up the pieces and put the problem back to together again and resolve it.. i hear "well it's about being a good fit for the position" oh f** ya i forgot to say "thank you for choosing quest" we lost ur tube in a lab accident.. give me a break
Talked recently to some current employees, and they still brag about the power they have over others. Does anyone there know how to motivate, rather than intimidate, lead rather than whip crack, raise up not crush down? The BU is situated in a world class medical gold mine, and they still cannot get their head out of their ass in every department to get the low hanging fruit.
Is there a going away party for the latest Lab Ops Director who quit?
