Mark Uram

check out [ www.iroko.com ] where Mark has gone to work in International Marketing and is likely making far more $$ than what SGP would be paying. Iroko is a privately owned pharma concern based in Philadelphia. The timing was perfect for him but is going to be severely missed, Michael will have far less field experience and input in trying to overcome.

No long public good-byes allowed when someone leaves the nest.

This is a true loss to our efforts. People such as Sean Carrie and Fred do not see the value any one individual brings to the team. Hopefully this company develops a US based commercial team. I personally would follow his clinical, professional, and personal judgment any day.

There is way too many posts on a guy who was a home office nobody. OK, so 150 CCG reps knew him and thought they knew how great he was. They only think that because that's what mark told them. He is a nice guy, but trust me, no one in kenliworth will miss him...they can't because NO ONE knew him!

I am a bit confused by your comment. I sat in at a POA in LA and heard Moye throw nothing but compliments out regarding his team. Those compliments included ones about Uram, Clark, Manginelli, and Sacchetti. I do not think I ever heard Uram speak of how great he was even once in the 4 years that I have known him. As far as no one in the home office knowing him I can't speak for that. Seeing what is now going on with ENHANCE I doubt it matters much if anyone misses him. Best of luck to him and to you poster as Fred cuts Heads.

He was a home office nobody so he knew nothing!!!

Exactly the disease that infects SGP - here's a guy that was focused on the customers, KOLs, and the field folks but that doesn't count because he was a "nobody" in Kenilworth. Now he is, apparently, a director level person who is getting great career development opportunities overseas at a higher pay level.

Most can only wish him well but there is one CZ-type that can only hurl invectives, another symptom of the disease that infects SGP and it ain't something Vytorin can reverse nor Avelox cure.

AMEN to that!

People who understand the market, the cusomers, and the patients are a threat to the likes of Chuck and Sean. Neither of them have a clue and have ruined a once great sales organization.

Mark was no more a threat to Chuck or Sean than an ant is to an elephant. Stick to being a rep and don't comment on something you clearly lack the experience to understand.

Mark was an OK guy. He lacked the talent, vision and experience to be anything more than a junior level marketing manager fetching Mike Moye's coffee in the morning.

Let me repeat myself, "Sean and Chuck have ruined a once great sales organization". You my friend must not be aware of the driver ants of Africa. Although Sean and Chuck may sit in their ivory towers and feel like elephants amongst ants, an army of driver ants could strip the flesh from horse or cattle in a matter of hours. Strength in numbers my friend. When the feds and the lawyers get through with the management at this once fine establishment, Sean and Chuck will wish all they had to deal with were disgruntled sales reps who think their quotas were unfair.

He was not a threat b/c they control his future within the organization.

Your suggestion relating to his talent, etc, his off the mark, given his new position with a different company. Obviously they would disagree with your assessment. But I suppose writing your comments made you feel a little better about yourself--at least temporarily....

I am sure that is all he was. Michael Moye's own personal Juan Valdez. I going out on a limb here but are you Juan's Jackass?

if bringing colombian coffee to your boss gets you promoted, more money, and an international opportunity where do i sign up?

The best talent often leave to grow and develop. I only knew Mark for a short time but was impressed with his knowledge of the ACS market and the needs of the customer.

To the poster who claims he was Moye's coffee bitch I doubt this was true. Moye said he leaned on Mark to handle tough situations when he was unable to personally meet with the customers himself. Moye seems to have the utmost respect for his team and the CCG sales force and if I didn't have family and other commitments I would welcome the chance to do a home office rotation myself.

Maybe within the Schering-Plough system he lacked talent [he wasn't a good ass kisser], vision [he wouldn't know whose ass to kiss anyway], and experience [the guy probably never kissed an ass in his life].
