Bravo. Well said. You are so on point with every single statement. I agree about Rick being a huge reason that morale sucks. I also think Mary is to blame. She is not a voice of reason for wound team. She puts on a confident front and talks a good game... that is why I believe she has to continued to scrape by.. but look deeper and you will see she is a scared little mouse on the inside that simply follows what is being asked of her and never has the balls to challenge what is not working or speak up. That is not a leader. Even when she knows it is not working! She brings nothing to the table especially with the crisis this company is in at the moment. We need stronger leaders. Why do we have HH ATM’s???? A waste of money!!! I am being dead serious when I say that this is the worst leadership team Convatec has seen in years. The worst.Another viewpoint:

I could not agree more. I say that with the upmost sincerity. There has to be a full house cleaning top down for things to improve. The reorganization has absolutely slowed things down for the field. I am closing less business because I am spread so thin. Most have said the same. It is a disaster. It is not working. Having realistic Geographies where we can actually build relationships and close business with consistent follow up. Not follow up a month later because we were too busy traveling 6 hours away to see our other customers on the complete opposite end of the planet. Sheer stupidity. The travel time alone is exhausting and time consuming and costly. There is zero consideration for people with families or work like balance. All for what? A reorg that is not even effective? What a mess. Stop all of the busy work and let us focus on our customers again! I spend more time on admin, making up my weekly Quick Base entries to meet impossible and unrealistic expectations, making up what I am going to say on the useless war room calls and this report and that report and oh yeah close lots of business in between. Don’t worry about sleeping or enjoying your weekend. Lol. What good are these things doing when they have created an environment where everyone is lying to check a box. These idiots are too dumb to even know that 6-7 calls a day is not possible! Not if you want to see results. People who know our business and have worked with our customers know this. That is why this leadership team is clueless. That is why leaders should be promoted from within. It is not rocket science.Hopefully we will see the 2 New guys in charge make some additional changes immediately and do what George failed to do, which is CLEAN HOUSE on the wound side of the business... Top down. Also a reset to what the territories looked like before this insane reorg . This reorg is slowing things down. It was one of the WORST business decisions in history. Not just in the history of Convatec, but in the history of corporate america.
I disagree. Here lies the problem. The business actually has not changed that much. Customers still want our products. Convatec has changed. These posts are not simply negative posts. I think people are smart enough to know when something is not working. This leadership team is not a good fit. We got half of them out and now we need to get rid of the other half. Hear that and believe that. The only barriers are the leaders running the wound franchise that do not understand our business and are making piss poor decisions. Convatec is creating it’s own barriers. Convatec is to blame. Passing up a 20 year successful RSM for positions only to fill them with people like Rick M that has no experience with our product. Real smart. Genius. This is not a statement I make just to be negative.Most of us have had enough of this bullshit to stay quiet any longer. What has Mary even done besides fly under the radar. We need someone that is a fierce and strong leader. She is not it. I can’t believe what I am reading. Clearly you are on the leadership team. Do you honestly think that better sales training and better marketing will fix our problems. That is 1% of the problem. Yes we do need those things but what about the backorders? How can we sell the products if the customer can’t get them. What about the toxic environment and culture? What about the reorg and the fact that us reps are actually closing far less business than before because we are jumping through hoops to just get to our customers. Planes, trains and automobiles instead of just a frigging automobile.It is not working and it was a terrible decision. These Geographies are not manageable. They are too big. No real impact can be made. This is BS, Mary needs to go but Rick is an exceptional leader. Really good things are coming in Q3-4, much of the dead weight has been removed and we are again attracting top talent. The best thing is the home office finally has our back so that we can focus on results. Let the ex employees post negative information on CFI think we can all agree that the business has changed and we face more barriers than ever but Rick and Mary will pull through for the team, These negative posts help nobody and are not accurate. Ex employees? Have an honest , repercussion free conversation with anyone on the sales team. You will hear everything you read. I win all the time, regardless of price - it’s called selling....I think we need to reduce the price of our products that and attract someone that understands national accounts and GPO's access is getting ridiculous in my larger accounts and I win and loose business based on price alone
Called BS, you don't sell anything or understand the business process in selecting wound care products. They don't care if your product is better, lasts longer, better recovery times. This is common knowledge, that is why you are a troll or an idiot. Wound care is a commodity and very low in the hospital funnelI win all the time, regardless of price - it’s called selling....
