New Regime: CHANGES?

Status quo won't work. Steve A. Kept too many of the failed leadership, but I don't think he had a choice as long as Nycomed parent had final say. Now they are out of the picture, so BRian and Jeff should be able to get rid of the LC members who really need to be gone. Let's hope they do it. If they don't, we are definitely doomed.
Quality,Project management,Manufacturing all require new leadership if they hope to turn this place around .

Who should take over these areas? Someone from within?

Definitely not any of the people posting here. The only things that ever get posted here are criticisms, or who sucks, who should get replaced and how screwed up management is.

None of you peeps ever post a real solution. What a bunch of complaining bitches. So glad I don't work there anymore.

Since it's what everyone else is doing, I'll do the same. I think new management has to save the company from many of the current employees or else you're all doomed.

You are absolutely correct. It has to be new management, not from the inside. That's a solution right there. Identifying problems may be criticism, but if the problems aren't identified, how will they ever get fixed? Just saying....

Brian thinks otherwise. Perhaps from your perspective she is a liability. Obviously, from Brian's perspective, she's an asset. So....why is that?

Probably because they are out of a job and rather than recognizing their own flaws, they have to place blame on someone else. We had a sales person in charge and our sales continued to fall even with more and more rebates on all products. Who knows if this new VP will work, but the status quo wasn't working so taking action with a change is far better than inaction.

Management firings are beginning in December/January. They're scrutinizing everything, from overtime abuse to complaints to HR.
I almost feel bad for the folks who allowed the abuse of overtime to continue over a period of years; they're almost certainly going to get whacked.
Looks like the party's over.

Where exactly do you get your information? How do you know firings start in Dec/Jan?

Brian needs people he can trust and who work to maximize the organization's goals. You will see in the next few months he will bring good people on board. This hire (new VP) was unfortunately not one of the best he could have made. A class A phony who messed up marketing at King.

Department Managers are worried, and they're talking.
Discretion has never been their strong suit.
Anyway, even the janitor knows about this...maybe you're a sales person?

I'm not in sales. I talk to a lot of people and nobody at any level of authority has said anything. Only a repeat of what they heard someone else say. Like you did in the post.

I'm talking VP here as my guess is that they would be the only ones who know anything. Unless of course it is they who will be disposed of, then even they wouldn't really know.

Long story short, unless you're at the top tier, you don't really know anything and all you're doing is spreading rumor.

Again, nothing based on fact and nothing to back it up. Only "everybody is saying such and such"

Not fighting with you, just would like to have some solid intel for a change.

To your point that department managers are worried. I think everyone in the company is. How many CEO's have we had the last seven years? We need some stability.
