Allegedly had a conversation with someone who had a conversation with someone allegedly in the know.

Jack's working to get the interim off of his title and feels keeping Rich is critical to maintaining company morale. Once the temp is taken off his title he will bring in his hand picked team and let the current "leader" ride off into the sunset in his assless chaps on his horse or ass.
