PIP Started Going Out This Week

Thanks and good luck. Is there any advantage to quitting before getting fired? A few of the applications asked "have you ever been terminated/fired". Not sure what other than you being employed PP would tell another company.

If one quits, you cant file for unemployment benefits so from that perspective, it is better to be fired. Honestly, either answer is tough as the potential enployer will ask why u quit wih nothing lined up. In my state, unemployment that is about $1000 a month. Not much but it does help some.

On ur next app - just put layoff on the app. As someone else pointed out, Purdue HR only confirm dates of employment IF potential employer even calls. Other pharma co know Purdue sucks and that market is in decline, so is reasonable to say you got laid off due to reduction in workforce.

This is good advice. Most future employers know what is happening here and in this market. They will either want you for your experience or not but know that we are on a sinking ship.

This is accurate....my friend was fired and ended up getting a job a month later. Stated on application "downsized". Also, I confirmed with an HR person (at another company) that legally they can only give dates of employment and last title held. Hope this helps. On a side note, I gave my notice so a legacy old timer is gone! Good luck all.

LP got her PIP, now what about her stupid minions? Please clean house at the top and bring us some good managers.

Don't worry about what LP may have received!
When will YOU wake- up and reject your stupidity and double dip! Clean your own house first.
And don't worry about "bringing us some good managers"!

Im hearing more and more that people that are on these damn PIPS can't seem to get off of them. In other words they are having them extended at the end of 90 days. This place is the lowest for doing this to people. I I know of at least two people that this is happening to at the moment. So in other words...even if you somehow do well enough to get off of one of these nightmares, they will continue the torture indefinitely until you either give up or more intelligently tell them to kiss it!

Here's the problem, some people are fired after 90 days period. Why not have an equal policy for all? If some people are not performing and nothing happens, why are others already long gone and others having PIP extended. If you are going to fire people then do so. Be fair in your unfairness, and remember all territories are not created equal.

So if I am let go after my PIP, I'm assuming they are still going to pay me my severance ?

Highly doubtful that PP will pay you anything after you get fired due to the PIP. One of the reasons that people are being put on PIPs is so that PP does not have to pay any severance at all.

This is a win win for PP - 1 less person as headcount. And PP doesn't have to pay you any severance like they would if there were actual layoffs.

I was let go with zero reason, never given a pip or even a review but got 10k severance, Plus bonus . Who knows about the shit company unfair others only received 2 weeks Plus vacation. Be happy you are leaving

Since MT and his 9th floor imbeciles came in - this company has had the steepest decline in sales in company history - the highest employee turn over in company history - the lowest moral and poorest culture in company history.

Besides destruction - What did this moron bring to PPLP?

Well, the bottom dropped out of the market so that's not his fault. The turnover came from LP and her ahole minions who made/make everyone's life miserable. From the turnover perspective, it they got rid of people with high salary and pensions, isn't that a plus for Purdue? Salespeople are just widgets anyway. They don't seem to care about the stability of customer relationships. OR maybe they want to let those in the "know" go as more lawsuits are coming everyday. There is not a single person I know at this company that isn't either contemplating leaving or actively seeking other employment.

I am on a never-ending PIP. No word from anyone regarding why or how to end it.
My manager has not a clue and says she was forced to put a few reps on a PIP (even though we are ranked higher than others). I felt forced to sign the PIP because of time and felt threatened. I have a lot of documentation, including things she nor Purdue will want a lawyer reading. I will fight, not because I want to stay with this horrid company but because I will not allow myself to be treated like this when I have worked so hard. I was so sure that Marv would turn things around but he is just like rest. Only concerned about numbers and changing the territories so they can keep their jobs. most of my team is applying for jobs and two will give notice after the launch if they can stomach her for 2 more weeks. Opioids are a dying (no pun intended) market and they know it so instead of just being transparent, they create PIPS to decrease the sales force. Why not just do the right thing!? Allow people to leave with some dignity? They have no clue what leadership, transparency or integrity is. I will be sure that I leave with grace and I will be fine. So will all of you. Move on and go do something that actually matters!
