restructuring in January


KCI doesn't need all the reps we have, most reps are sitting at home as I type. The cams in post do nothing but collect documents and gossip. They could hire someone at a cheaper rate to collect documents.

Post acute has nothing new to talk about and the doctors aren't willing to give them time. I don't see them working full days.

Is this a joke? First, Prevena is a joke and the Doctor won't give Acute reps the time of day to talk about it. As a whole, KCI has nothing new about, but that is very irrelevant. Apligraf has had the same bio-engineered tissue for years, right? Secondly, of course I have access to my top Doctor's. Why would they not have the time of day to see me? We're not calling on IM or GP's for Christ sake! We're calling on the same kinds of Doctor's that Acute does in the hospital. Unreal.

that is what I said when I started this post. It might not happen in January though, I am hearing. It is not just that cam's, it is AE's in post accute as well, rumor has it.

90% of the comments on the KCI board are from competitors. It's pretty sad.

The earnings calls have indicated that there is persistent revenue shortfalls in US. Flat and / or declining for two fiscal years. Sales of VACs continues to erode the rental revenue base. Yes there are new products coming, but they don't require a large sales force. KCI is moving to a distributed sales model. It's the only way to achieve the agressive performance required by Wall Street. The only way to get the needle moving in a positive direction, is to cut costs. The highest costs are the sales force. KCI could lose 40-50% of the field sales group and not miss a beat on current sales and rental curves. That would also mean a corresponding reduction in the filed sales management also. KCI could lose 60% of the DM / RVP level and still be within the normal ratios of AE to management. Stop thinking with your emotions. Think from a pragmatic point of view and you will see things clearer. Remeber, follow the money. It will never steer you wrong. Good Luck!

Your first mistake was coming to KCI and if you work for Gina Smith just know that your future will be short. Not becaue you will be fired but because you will realize this company is full of imbeciles.

That is so true. She is a piece of work. Maybe Mike Buckworth will be up her ass as usual at the GSC. That is so pathetic - everyone in her district - acute and post acute laugh their asses off.
