Can anyone please share with me the salary range for Otsuka NS position? I have heard Otsuka pays a bit more than other pharma? Thanks, in advance. I have over 10 years of experience in CNS and am thinking of switching. The recruiter I am working with is telling me they don't pay over 95 K for starting reps at Otsuka. Is this true? THanks, in advance.

This gal says go for it!! After being layed off from a merger, I quickly got this easy gig for about 100k a year, and barely leave my house. I am in the Boston area, so they may not offer that much elsewhere. Good luck.

got 100k or so during the expansion. What area are you looking at. Some DSM in this company are scary. Let me help you out- Northern NJ scary, south down by the bayou scary, northern CA scary and most other places not scary

How do you barely leave your house with all of their timed signatures, tracking, etc.? I find I work very hard here. I'm out by 8 or 8:30 and not home till almost 5. I think they micromanage. Are you not NS?

I live in my territory-outside of Boston, so traffic is lighter. My boss is real easy, I just voicemail alot and leave success stories and he eats it up. Don't worry about signatures, I even sign for them in the AM or late PM if you know what I mean. I don't need this job as I cleaned up at my former co when they were bought out. LOL

What do you do with the samples if you sign though?

I'm not worried about them checking for signatures. Some days I don't have many and other days I have none and other days I have many. I do my job. I don't care if they want to check it or not. I doubt they even check it unless they want to fire you.

O checks for signatures BUT the department that does this work is being eliminated.

Yes the Boston DBM is very good . That being said we both know you are pretending that you work in this fashion to try to discredit someone else. I know this because I am in that division and the package from bms was good but not life altering and az, millenuim and king were not offering a real package either when the non bms people came over.
Let it go already.
We know there is a rep that always sends in best practices and it bothers you.

I can see why you were layed off. Your boss must be proud of you bragging what a pushover he is. Dumb broads like you are the reason MD's no longer see reps in the Boston area.

I could not care less about the timed signatures. I work. Sometimes I have no signatures before 11 a.m. If people don't need samples, I'm not getting signatures. I don't know if they check this or not, but i'm not concerned. Some days I have no signatures. I make my calls. I do my job. They can check if they want.

There are days I get no signatures. Some offices don't take samples. I dont care. I do my job. They don't waste their time checking that stuff unless they are trying to fire you.

I agree. Dn't worry about it. Do your job. I have no siggies some days and other days I have 2 or so. I don't care. They dont 'care if you make your numbers. Been around for awhile and done well so don't worry if you do your job . Take care and no wrrying.

I agree. This gig is almost up for all of us. With all of your nonsensical, contrived, success stories and best practices, you are killing it for all of us. Please, we urge you to stop the madness. It is difficult enough to do our job in the Northeast. We have a decent DSM, don't make this more complicated than it is. And for the love of all that is good in the world stop with your gloating about your former company's pension and severance plan! We know this is a hobby for you, but some of us need our jobs.

Who is this person? Is she a rep? Is she a manager?

What is the salary range . There is an open position I'm considering, but I'm not at the range yet. I had 13 years with my previous employer and I'd like to know the max I will be able to get,a nd I don't want to talk money early. thanks very much.

Is this a micromanaging company? I've heard it is. Thankssssssss

I have a lot of traffic in my area. I'm leaving before 4 so I get home before rush hour.

Sometimes I leave earlier if I have to to get home to pick up my kids. This job won't be around for much longer for any of us. I will not work 10 hours a day in a dying industry.

The Boston Blabbermouth(JK) claims she hasn't worked more than 20 hours a week in a long time, and rarely sees the boss. How does he approve all the time off for all her trips she brags about taking?

I don't kill myself either for this job. It makes no difference. If you have a good boss and good managed care coverage,,, it's all good. My boss is a micromanager. He is not a nice man and is rude.

These contrived success stories are a complete joke. There are few success stories. Access has been shut down. Dr.'s don't want to talk with us for the most part.
