Sentinel to Virbac? Really?

My advice would be to take whatever is offered to you. Don't take a chance and wait for Elanco. These are both good jobs and most people would love to work for either company despite what the haters say. If Elanco does not want you for ANY reason, then you will be out of luck and looking for a job in a terrible economy.

Excellent advice. Shame on NAH management for not doing everything in their power to help their people find jobs instead of telling them to sit tight and hope things work out.

NAH likes to think they are fair and good to their employees. After years of lies you would think employees could read between the lines. NAH is a company that pushes stuff under the rug and does not take care of business. It is not surprising that they have gotten to this point. Poor Management all the way down to DMs. Hope these people learn how to do it the right way from REAL leaders in the Industry.

Can't disagree. The very senior leadership have huge incentives to milk every dollar out of the business they can, leaving the field team to pick up the pieces - while they go off with big paydays. As someone stated earlier, both choices have pros and cons, though either will be infinitely better than the management we have now. Expect a tough year or two as both companies have to rebuild the brands that were driven into the ground over the past few years. It will get better. Good luck.

Who should jump at the chance to work for Virbac? Anyone with an Elanco rep in their territory. Anyone that does not have a four year degree. Anyone with anything negative in their Novartis Personnel file (PIP, bad performance review). Elanco will have access to this information and Virbac does not. Good luck everyone.

Virbac is not taking as many reps as we thought they would. Hope this is not an indication of what Elanco will do. Don't turn down a sure thing.

Seems like Virbac is really focusing regionally on Reps in strong Sentinel areas. Haven't heard of many folks turning them down yet. Wonder what this will mean for Elanco in areas that are not as "rep-dense".

Which is exactly the reason Novartis is being bought!

Virbac will raise prices on sentinel as soon as they can. No way to afford the hiring without raising prices. The have no plans to support the sentinel line. They will be lucky to sell $50 million next year. Expect big layoffs by Q3.
