With Brad leaving and a new CEO, you can bet things will get real interesting

the New CEO will keep with the tradition of not letting North America drive the direction of the company, so that won’t change a thing.

Brads departure might. You could end up with a VP that actually has a clue what’s going on and actually does something. All pomp and circumstance aside Brad will vanish like a fart in the wind.

Was contacted for a manager position and am interested but see new CEO came from big pharma, is that the new direction Ipsen is headed? Was a field manager before and our small company was taken over by BMS and intended to keep the culture intact but forgot to say for how long, a year later became unbearable to work for.

what’s the manager position? I’m unaware of any open but it could be a different franchise.

The global CEO doesn’t affect anyone outside of executive leadership. In sales the jobs are made by the manager.
There’s no real big pharma outside home office, and they don’t know or care what happens in the field. The home office is it’s own biosphere where people pretend to know what’s going on without any real world knowledge of the products. Some people are great and want to help, others just want to make believe.

when you get to the field you have good people. If you’re a field based sales manager you’re going to have a decent boss at worst. National Sales Director for onc is a great guy.

Thank you for the insight, position, manager for regional corporate accounts. What happens inside global corp offices trickles down to everyone eventually, don’t be so naive.

corporate accounts isn’t a bad place to be

and Ipsen is a different company, the cohesion between France and the US is nonexistent.

Be ready for a bumpy ride : Lot of the old team is being let go (yet there is no official layoff !) and they are leaving with their expertise...
IPSEN is shifting from scientific Biotech to the big pharma model... I wonder is the owners see this happening...

We have a North American CEO that has little understanding of the US market and a Napoleon complex and 2/3 of the leadership team has turned over...this has train wreck all over it

I completely disagree about the new VP in Neuro. My experience is that she has been standing up for her people and works tirelessly to create an positive, open and collaborative culture. Things are changing, as it should with a new VP, but I believe her intentions are good. If you think Neuro is awful, you really don't know the hard working people I know - you may want to look in the mirror because you will likely find what has made it awful for you. I wish you luck and much happiness - somewhere else.

It’s like watching a traffic cam after an ice storm. The car is sliding through the intersection and headed for that tractor trailer. You can’t stop it. It’s just a matter of time.

Its kinda horrible. I like the therapeutic area, the product is good... Problem, all experience is gone.... The guy heading US neuro is not from the US and has no US experience. vicious cycle.

Asking anyone to invest years of their careers in what has clearly become an absolute dumpster-fire is just stupid. Anyone with real skills and savvy in Oncology can see the vast cloud of opportunities in this field right now and immediately get off this sinking ship.
