I thought that maybe when she said she wanted to shut the Dothan PSC down that it was just her venting about all the bs she puts up with down there. At least that's how I took it when I heard her talking about it. I don't think she really is pushing for that. Just because a person vents about their staff and how terrible some of the clients are does not mean that they're a horrible person. We all bitch sometimes! Give the lady a break for Gods sake! If even half the stuff she says is true about what she's had to deal with then I don't doubt her staff and the clients are more of a monster than she could ever be. Well i just found this board and it is very interesting indeed! I just went thru my PSC being shut down and I was forced to find another position and found something part-time then I'm not there two weeks and I get a complaint filed on me and they yank me out of the position I was in and gave me 30 days to find a new job or I get terminated. IMHO they do not care about anybody!! Not even the clients!!

I agree but I don't think anybody has gone to the position I was in yet, but I could be mistaken. I found out later thru the lady that was in that position that the Doctor's office never even made the phone call. I actually talked to one of the doctors personally and she said she didn't even know what happened to me. She was surprised when I told her. She said I was doing a fine job. No one in the office complained so I don't know where it came from. As of right now I am no longer employed by SLP. Get my last paycheck Friday. The poor lady who was at the doctor's office ended up having to find something full time and then it seems she got in trouble too. She ended up talking to the director and then just found another position under another "supervisor". I just think I was there too long, 12 and a half yrs is a long time and they could have a less experienced person do my job and pay them less. It's all about the money....

Instead of keeping valued employees, they cut back on money for hiring low payed phlebotomists with very little experience seems to be the trend now. How does that help the company. This would cause more issues than an experienced phlebotomist. Once the customer starts complaining about how a patients arm being black and blue will they look away.

I am all for accountability, but you will never be able to convince me that this company gives a damn about its employees. They brag about their growth as a company and how much more business they are pulling in, yet they claim a "tough economy" when they decide that they want to give us terrible raises. The raises they are giving don't even cover the continually ascending cost of living. However, look at any economy based publication and you will see that the only sectors that grew in this bad economy are the oil and medical businesses. I had one of the highest evaluations in the lab at Federal Drive yet was subjected to a 1.6% raise. I have worked for this company for four years, this is the worst that it has been.
 


I have recently started a satirical twitter for Solstas. The goal is to add a little humor for the employees that are going through a tough time with the company. However, I need feedback from people, topics that you may want me to hit on, etc. Like I said, I want to give employees of this soul sucking place something to look at and make them smile.
