Managers- Don't let that "loyalty facade" make you think that you're safe with your rep and that they are staying. Management has a false sense of security that nobody is going anywhere because the job market is so bad. The good reps, and I mean really good reps get opportunites all the time. They are constantly being poached. When the right opportunity comes along some of them will be leaving as well. It's always easier to find a job when you already have one. It's easy to be picky.

So sit back, continue to bury your head in the sand and ignore the issues that your reps face. It's the perfect way to lose your good people. Don't believe me?

As of this moment in time- there is not one good reason to stay here.
Unless you are supplementing your spouses salary with a cheap car, free gas, free insurance, and a surprisingly high starting salary. If this is the case then this is the best job on earth. If, however, you are the sole breadwinner and trying to save money for a house, retirement, college, take a vacation or raise a family on only this income, it's time to leave. there is is no vision for the future here. No light at the end of the tunnel. Damn shame. This company could have been a contender...

On June 5th, Warren Machan, Sr. Director - Strategy and Sales Operations stated the for the past few months his group has been working on organization design and structure. The reorg will be subtle, unlike Apollo, such as not replacing RMs, AM and consolidating territories. So stay under your urine soaked blanket and wait for your fate.

So there have been five smart people who have chosen to upgrade their careers. Three are gonna be filled, like the new products that are gonna be released, the national sales meeting thats gonna take place. You are living in the Land of Oz, with reps like you I need to unload by stock options. You do get stock options don't you. Oh, by the way try the ultra large Depends, at least support the corporation in some manner.

Actually 2 more DH positions will be filled, and I will also add that I know that there are interviews taking place right now to fill the open RM spots (In fact a field rep interviewed for one), and when those positions are filled the West Area Sales Director will be next.

Would it not make more sense to find an Area Manager first since both of the RM spots will report to that person? It seems upper management has some way of screwing up. Why has it taken almost a year to fill the Midwest RM position???

OK, so now you've been proven wrong, so you are going to knock HOW they are filling the positions? Some people are never happy. Lets just get them filled for God's sake. Who gives a shit how they do it.

The reason the RM in the midwest position has been open for so long is that they were hoping to fill it from the inside. Everyone that works for KC device knows that this is one of the toughest regions to manage and won't touch it, so now they brought in some outside candidates.

Look for more consolidtion of territories as the reorg shapes up. According to an inside source, the number of medical devices reps will be reduced by 33% over the next six months.
