This might be the best post ever on cafepharma! So is this person:

A. Has such a lack of confidence he/she must prove they were called by AcelRx? Who wasn't!
B. Loves the movie Scarface so much they quote it regularly?
C. Is just plain stupid, so all of the above?
 


None of the anesthesiologists I call on had anything good to say about the device or the product. They all seemed to believe that the machine was not diversion-proof and that it had serious reliability issues. Not a good thing when it can't be used for anything but a single drug.

The other thing they mentioned and that I had considered before turning down an interview with them was why any hospital would pay that much money that they don't have to start? You can bet those machines and the cartridges with the sublingual sufentanil will not be cheap, and one of my docs said his hospital did clinical trials with it and had nothing good to say about it.

When the docs who would be targeted for sales and marketing efforts are already making fun of the company while taking money for doing their research, I just got turned off by the whole thing and said no thank you when invited to talk to them.

Things may not be great here, but at least I didn't jump ship for that overpriced electronic Pez dispenser. I have no idea when or if they will be able to get FDA approval, but device issues are NEVER positive.

You are a moron. You are making a nasty comment to someone and then you post this? And had an earlier post that stated "they weren't interested in your sorry ass either." You are a first class jerk!

WE ARE WORKING FOR A COMPANY THAT RAISED THE PRICE 140%. I DONT THINK IT CAN BE MUCH WORSE. Everyone pretending and spinning. he thinking has become if we don't lose too much business it must have been the right thing to do. Mallinckrodt is an absolute embarrassment. The major difference vs the industry is they went out of their way to reset what ahole looks like. Maybe that should be on the back of our business cards. "Being bold and taking the lead to reset what ahole looks like."

I don't think he has anything to worry about. Cadence kept all management for. Over a year before the reps cam onboard. My manager did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR. Never went to any territory accounts etc. just accepted his pay checks.
 


They are hiring 70 reps. Will this get any traction in the hospitals? I spoke to one anesthesiologist who was very ho-hum on the product. Any feedback from the Cadence folk?

Nobody cares. Or cares. It’s approved and they are ready to rock !

Recruiter called me this AM-15 initial Reid, stock options , big bonuses, Six figure salaries. If you can get in early with stock options, it’s money!!! Also an intolerance signing bonus
