the abms know fully well what is going to behall the sales force at the end of march. i think it's time they stop being paranoid and loyal to pw and speak up! obviously something is coming, some structural changes, losses in head count, heavy hospital rep losses, reduction in compensation for those who remain. i just hope that medi pays up a decent severance for those of us who are let go and i hope they don't drag it out too long. it's almost cruel.
 
So, what is the anticipated timing of any downsizing ? voluntarily or arbitrarily by geo like the '09 slice-n-dice ? Synagis has been out there 11+ years. There's really nothing new about it anymore, other than the continued shrinkage of payer-eligible population.

well now that IS possible, There are 68 CMM positions and that is where the rumored cuts may be. not necessarily a CMM being cut though. BSS may be cut and that position offered to the CMM.....think about it. We have heard that all will be 2 product reps and a few CMM's will be retained to have large territories with responsibilities for the very large teaching istitutions. THAT is the only part that is dumb about the whole thiing. We will hear soon and it should be interesting!

The sacred cows are not surviving this one. Finally something that makes sense. Buh-Bye my CMM patriots! No more making money off the little peoples.

That is how they flush out and get rid of the old time people they have that have been here for years. They create new and exciting positions gather all the nurses together from the BSS, CMM and whatever AM position they have now, give them all a new title then decide that it isnt working then just like that they rid them selves of all of them with a lay off. Brilliant actually! In one swoop they can dump alot of the old too high paid weight! And no discrimination can be cried!

What's an AM ? Never heard the term before.

Case managers for what ?
