Walbert must go!

Looking at a position with Tepezza... I'm selling in retina now so not exact fit but my base is 190k and recruiter said wouldn't be a problem to go over if I get job.

If after reading all of the comments, you still want to join this dumpster fire, have at it. Most legacy folks are looking to get out. Bringing in the IBU primary care team will prove the biggest mistake this company has made. Next 6 months will prove that. Leadership sucks, stock sucks, and those days of hitting high paying bonus’s are over. Fun while it lasted.

Don't listen to the boomers that make up the majority of our salesforce. Starting pay is quite high here- not sure what the max is. Definitely starting people in the GBU over 180k. No idea about Tepezza but it is true they are moving many over from our inflammatory business unit- the boomers think they can't handle the job. Reality is most of the sales people here are old and out of touch. Things are changing...but for the better.

The grass isn't always greener on the other side. And lets be honest most people aren't hiring 55+ sales people- so they are stuck here.

The vast majority are Gen X, moron, and I agree with the previous poster that bringing in IBU reps will be a mistake. There’s a reason that no companies hire primary care reps to sell rare disease.

55+ is a boomer...you are probably one of them. Yelling at people to get off your yard or how you had to walk to school during snow storms. Fact is we need less of you and more people that are younger (30+) that look the part and can sell.

Wow, you’re clueless. My point was that most are NOT over 55, and I’m on the Gen X/Millenial border by the way. The last thing we need is a bunch of clueless, entitled 20 somethings whose only experience is that of a glorified caterer who just recites the little script provided by the company about a simple med and hopes for a prescription.

Reading through these posts, it's really sad to see what's become of this company. So many were proud to be part of the Tepezza launch and bring it to success. Now, these reps that they trusted with the launch are being treated as children and not being allowed to run their territory like their businesses. Instead, we're busy entering fake 5-10 calls, using the cva because it's being monitored and sending in weekly success stories. We're being treated with NO respect and like primary care reps. We all earned our titles and salaries and worked hard to get into rare disease. Now, the brilliant idea to bring over the IBU reps, they have created a culture of animosity, distrust and toxicity. Seems like no one is happy, when you read the threads. Leadership has set us up for failure. ALL of us. This is no longer a company that many are proud to represent or even plan a future with. The respect is gone, the fun is gone and the desire to succeed is gone. It's a shame that 6 months from now, we will all look back at this trainwreck and hopefully have built a better path for ourselves and our families. Right now, this place isn't it. We will now be babysitters and "transitioning" the new reps to take over the territories we worked so hard to build and those relationships were never taken into account when assigning these new territories. It's become a game of jenga and unfortunately, so many talented people will be leaving and Horizon will continue to create new worthless strategies to drive business, that they should have been doing for a while. Shame that this place has gone downhill so quickly (in the last 4 months). Stock has plummeted, people have been fired, more are on plans and will be let go to make more space for the IBU kids. New VP, GM... it's giving me whiplash! Sayonara to the good old days.

This post is very concerning after an interview this week, I have many years in ophthalmology and I do not want to be treated like a primary care rep who needs to be babysat.

I also call bullshit on the 190k retina post

The vast majority of sales reps here is over 50.. maybe not 55.

Then you must not work in Ophthalmology...sanofi pays well over 190k so did Novartis. Many over 200k base.

I had several recruiters contact me stating this was a very entrepreneurial environment but something didn’t seem right. Ended up speaking with the former rep for the open territory and they shared the true picture of what is going on. Nothing specialty about these openings with the micromanaging and big pharma treatment

Horizon used to be a special place. I know. But now it's been run into the ground through stupid decision making and simple unforced errors. Walbert, his leadership team and especially HR who has allowed this to happen need to leave yesterday. Total backward clowns, Walbert is the laughing stock of the industry now.
Sell all stock before it's back in the 20's.

This place isn’t perfect, but this is 100% speciality and I have zero micromanagement/big pharma aspects of the job. Maybe the former rep is disgruntled and was micromanaged to be pushed out because he/she sucked. Just sayin’.

Nice try from someone in leadership… all former reps and current reps are disgruntled. Don’t you know how to read?? Too many comments that prove that this ship is sinking faster than the Titanic. Everyone is micromanaged.

Seems like 98% of the negative posts on this thread are from a current or former Non Performer yearning for self validation, though it only makes them look worse! Sometimes you just need to move on and go complain somewhere else!

I'm in the GBU and 100% not micromanaged. Pay is way above average, bonus is way above industry average and I drive a porsche.

OK, this post is laughable! I have been in GBU for 5 years, as soon as Randy got here the micromanagement began and its never been worse! Look at the numbers, he missed Q1 2021, we worked our asses off in Q2 and got us caught up. More micromanagement continued he consistently misses his number, while many of us miss bonus on increase of over 20% quarter over quarter for a 10 year old drug! The greed and incompetence is disgusting! This was once a great place to be, no more!
