They can work under that miserable leadership as long as they want to or leave.
At least they have options.

Worry about half the sales force losing their jobs.

That's happening regardless. They writting is on the wall. They already know what's been going on in finance and are looking to clean up for sure.

Sun’s plan is to buyout the rest of Taro soon regardless. If there is another person doing what you are doing at Sun, it is very obvious the person at Sun will be the one who remains. Princeton salaries are cheaper.
I believe certain key shared service areas controlled by Taro will stay no matter how bad the implementation is. All the people in those areas and other areas are looking for new jobs. The number of resignations that occurred last spring is about to happen again across the company. This will make the people who remain struggle, work long hours and be more miserable. Ask yourself, is this is what you want?
Update your resume, Linkedin, sign up for job alerts and call some recruiters. The worst thing that can happen is that you will be ready. Also, if you are a part of the pending layoffs, you will thank me for this advice.
