WHY is it such a secret as to when we will hear about lay offs? Serious question. Why is it a secret?

If it is such a pressing thought in your head, then just leave already. Don’t wait for the actual layoffs to begin. They’ve already announced it so we all know it will happen and happen soon.
seriously? Do you know what the market is like. Many other companies also doing mass layoffs. Saying just leave already makes me think you are in leadership and still are delusional that you also will be spared. If it not a pressing thought in your head you must be making executive level money and won’t be impacted like those of us who need jobs to support our families. Depending on where we reside, there may not be an abundance of jobs like the ones we have so don’t be an a hole just because your life won’t change. With the way this was announced, we have all basically been told to strap our boots on. These kind of announcements are not easy on us regular souls. Have a heart
It won’t be suspicion for everyone? Did you miss the part that some of it starts this quarter?
Some roles will be drastically reduced and some will be expanded.
Spoken by someone who has inside knowledge or has been through Bill Anderson’s restructuring before. This is spot on!Rest assured, there's a lot of work going on now with 2L Managers and above, as well as some home office personnel. Lots of meetings with consultants and everyone is sworn to secrecy and fearful that if they violate that confidence, they'll be on the chopping block. Silence for self-preservation.
Many of them are working on the restructure and rebuild of the organization. They don't know exactly who will be impacted yet, but they either know or will learn soon how many jobs there will be in the various roles, and what the reporting structure will look like. Some roles will be drastically reduced and some will be expanded. Clear articulation of specific job responsibilities in the new structure are crucial.
They are mapping out communication plans and operational guidelines. Given that people will be interviewing for some of the open roles, managers for rep roles for example, all of the scheduling for that is also in preliminary development stages. Candidates will be plugged into interview slots as they apply.
Some of the 2L managers will learn only days or hours ahead of the big announcements that their specific role is being eliminated. That's how it works.
From what Bill McLean indicated on his call…any “expansion” in CVR will be related to reps carrying Adempas AND Kerendia- he said that out loud on the “ask anything” call.Been saying that for weeks now…yes there will obviously be layoffs but expansion in some business units and roles. Cvr will be one of those with both layoffs as well as expansion.

I mean it’s possible that Bill knows absolutely NOTHING, he makes a case for that every time he speaks. But he probably knows enough to know there will be “expansion” in terms of Adempas reps now carrying Kerendia into the hospitals or something.
I very much doubt CVR expansion means what it traditionally means in pharma….i.e. MORE positions. I think it means different roles and more opportunities…IF you are one of the ones left standing.
The general rank-and-file pharmaceutical sales rep- all of them are at risk of being eliminated.

dumbassMarket Access / Managed Care / DEI will be the hiring criteria for any expansion roles. Anyone who has 5 - 20 years in sales with no other functional experience will be at very high risk of being unemployed. Probably a lucrative severance depending upon tenure, most should take it and move on.
dumbassignore at your own peril bitch
There will be very few left standing. Even open sales rep positions will be posted and people will have to interview. Lots of 1L managers will be going after rep roles because their current roles will be decimated for the most part. Some will interview for "expansion" management roles, but most will come up short because they don't have the diversity of experiences, diversity in general, or the right mindset, i.e., business perspectives.
