Work Environment

Working at Quintiles is just like any other company, much depends on the management of the contract. I have worked on several contracts with Q, the first one was good, worked the entire length of the contract (3 yrs), had a great manager and got along very well with all team mates, however, upper management could use an overhaul, but overall not bad. Second contract was awful, enjoyed my time as long as I was left alone to do my job. Had a real jackass for a manager, upper management was just as much a bunch of assholes as the immediate manager, there was no fairness, appreciation, or loyalty to the salesforce, I could go on and on about this one - just glad to finally be out. Last contract, nothing good to say at all, finally quit to go with another company - in a much better place now, very happy, and seem to have a management team who actually treats employees with respect and appreciation....At Quintiles, you are hired for a specific period of time, but there are no guarantees your contract won't end early. As long as you know this going in, and save your pennies while working, you will be far better prepared - financially speaking - when you find yourself out of a job. One other thing, Quintiles WILL tell you at or near the end of your contract they they will do everything to place you on other contracts, NOT TRUE. You are completly on your own, you must apply for other contracts, but it is highly unlikely you will be contacted or hired onto another one. I got lucky to land 3, most people are not that lucky. beware, be warned, and move forward at your own risk.
